TAG: Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn

The journey to Peridea was perlious. The shuttle that Ana had requisitioned from The Diarchy was not the finest. This was on purpose due to that it was going to be housed in the mouth of a Purgil. Those space whales that were the only way to Peridea, the lost world of the Dathomiri. Legend said that the Nightsisters came from there, and settled on Dathomir much later. The truth is no one truly knew, what was known is that this world was in another galaxy and that upon it Ahsoka Tano, and Shin Hati had been marooned during the Return of Admiral Thrawn. What secrets did the cradle of the Nightsisters, which had been lost for so many eons, hold? Ana found herself making pilgrimage with her Sister, who had not too long ago had helped her defeat a common enemy on Dath. Something told the Nightsister that the Ragnok's weapon would not be able to help them in what they faced next. For on Dath the foe was outward, a rival witch clan, Peridea would instead call them inward, to face the more dangerous opponet of all.. themselves...

Aboard The Dilapidation, the nickname for the shuttle Ana had given the "piece of junk" the Nightsister was on a course in space, not in hyperspace, rather navigating the blackness, waiting for the the pod of Purgils to make their appearance. The massive creatures were rather elusive despite their size, able to travel the hyperlanes of deep space by their own kind of "Magic." Anticipating that they might need to draw their attention, Ana created a recording of Purgil sounds that she broadcast on the comms, hoping it may entice a Pod to arrive. There in the deep reaches of space, she watching the screen, began to wonder if this was such a great idea. Going to another galaxy had its risks, chiefly getting back. No other than the Apprentice of Darth Vader had been stranded on Peridea. It would behoove them to make sure to keep the Purgil Pod near the planet once they made the jump, and so Ana kept broadcasting and decoding the whale-squid songs. It was as she was hard at work trying to put more in the recorder, when there was a flash of white light, and behold, one of those great creatures, its rounded ovular head drawing past their haul, then another appeared, and another, filling the black sea of space. Ana watching as one sound was broadcast, suddenly the ship shook all over, and began to spiral, the tentacles of the creature catching it like a web, apparently whatever was broadcasting had caught its fancy.

"Oh by the Magicks! I hope this is not a mating ritual!" said Ana. She shut off the recording and began to flip switching and press consoles, trying to get control of the ship once more. The truth is long as they were attached to the Space Whale, they would make the jump for Peridea. The problem was getting the animal to comply, to understand. This was where she wished she was a Sith, able to command the Force and use Beast Mastery, a technique to speak to the minds of animals. That was when she smiled, there was a Sith on board, hitting the inner ship comms she said,
"Lyssara, I need your help.. do you know how to speak Purgil?"
The very notion made her smile, which was something she did more frequently since her and the Sith had become close in their adventures. They were bound to one another, intiated in the same Clan on Dathomir. Now they were venturing to where it all began , the holiest site of The Magicks, perhaps the origin place itself. The question was.. were they worthy?

We might say we're whale fishing with Sister Anna. The problem is that to reach our destination, we will have to play with the laws of nature. We are heading to another galaxy, and the task is far from easy.

"Sorry Sister, I do not know how to speak Purgil,"

I didn't learn this in my manuals, nor did I learn it from my master. I am currently learning the language of the Sith, and that's already a significant linguistic challenge. So, we will have to rely on ourselves to get out of this situation.

I am glued to the radar, sitting in the passenger seat of the ship to help with the piloting. Unfortunately for me, the presence of these creatures is not signaled by the radar. So, I look around me through the panoramic window of the ship to get as much information as possible and to anticipate our next move.

Our goal today is none other than the cradle of the Night Sisters. We want to go back to the roots to gather as much information as possible and continue our scientific experiments. However, the journey is particularly difficult and complicated, and I suppose it will be the same all the way back.

In a burst of reflection, I begin to think about how we might proceed to achieve our goals.

"Perhaps we could attract them with food?"

A sort of bait might be just as effective without necessarily needing to communicate with them. I'm not sure of my shot, but hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. This shuttle that we borrowed from the faction allows us to perform dangerous maneuvers without too much fear of breaking it. However, we must be careful because of its fragility if we break our only means of return, we will be in deep trouble afterwards.

It's a necessary evil, so I pull out my thermos of coffee hoping to take a sip. I place it on the dashboard and look for a solution with Sister Anna

As alarms began to blare Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn regret to inform her that she did not know Purgil, though Ana had meant for her to use the power of Beast Mastery. She loved how literal her Sith Sister took everything, it made things interesting. At the prospect of them dangling some food for the Space Whales, Ana said,
"I think they have mistaken our ship for food.."

As another alarm went off, the haul integrity dropping and the shields at 50%, The Night Sister turning to Lyssara said,
"I think that mating call must have been too much.. listen.. use The Force.. there is a way to convey to their minds our intent, to get them to take us to Peridea. I cannot do it.. I only know the Magicks!"

There was a breach, and so Ana shouted,
"Farrik! I am gonna have to go outside! You stay here and to that meditative stuff you Sith do! Just do not piss em off!"
Ana racing to a room with the hatch for a space suite, and began to put it on, pulling over her burgundy robes. She then sealed the mask on with its oxygen tank and suddenly her whole body was taken away in a smoke of green and gray as she appeared on the outer haul of the ship. There before her was the mighty Behemoth, the Purgil was with its tentacles coiled around the ship. She dropped as one of tendrils swept over her head, and she barely was not scooped up and throw off the ship. She saw some damage, circuitry exposed, and sparks, a black spot, taking the tool kit magnetically connected to her belt she floated over, and began to use a torch to try and seal it up. The Purgil when it made its sound flooded her comms and made her say,
"Lyssara! Talk to them! I beg you!"

Another of the Space Whales was coming straight at the ship, almost as if it intended to ram them. This made Ana's heart rate elevate, with her systems pinging, "WARNING! Heart rate rising.. please calm... please calm." If they did not somehow get a message to these Purgils they would not only fail to get to Peridea, they would be smashed by the Space Whales into pieces and both perish before their primes...

I am asked to meditate and try to use a skill I unfortunately don't possess either. I think we're in trouble right now. I can't help but think that my life can't end in the belly of a whale tonight rwhat a sad way to go. I let go of the ship's controls and sit cross-legged on a cushion.

I focus and try to calm myself first before attempting to establish a connection with this creature. All I can do now is close my eyes and silently observe my surroundings, though, in another sense, I do nothing at all. After calming my mind, I take the opportunity to make a mental connection with the creature guiding us and project a calm and soothing intention. It's a struggle to do this because I am a Sith, not a Jedi.

I pour all my will into conveying that we need to go to Peridea. I don't know if it will be enough, but the creature starts to change course, hopefully bringing us in the right direction or so I hope.

I focus on the Force for the entire duration of the journey. I think I'll be exhausted by the time we arrive. Using a skill I haven't mastered is very dangerous for me because I risk making mistakes if I'm not careful. My nose starts bleeding from the strain I'm putting on this power to ensure we get to our destination.

There's still so much I need to see and do; I can't afford to die now. All my goals are far from accomplished, so I focus on the creature as Sister Anna suggested. I take a deep breath and keep using my ability to its fullest. I'm not holding back, hoping it will drop us near the planet we're supposed to reach.

What worries me, though, is that we'll likely have to do the same thing for the return trip. It's a shame we didn't think to place a GPS beacon to make a simple jump for the journey back. But it's too late now.

I also hope we'll have enough fuel; otherwise, we're really in trouble.

Ana was began to run on the deck as the Purgil was about to hit the ship at full ramming speed, when suddenly it stopped, the rest of the Space Whales suddenly came around the vessel, and the Nightsister looking at them as one opened its great mouth and began to come towards them. She ran for the hatch.
"@Lyssara you did it!"
As always the Sith Sister excelled in everything she attempted, and this was no different. Getting back inside the ship was taken into the Purgil's mouth which was exactly what they wanted. Then a great white light began to form, hyperspace! The Whales were able to generate it without hyperdrives! They were living ships, and now they were taking them to one of most ancient places in the galaxy, Peridea, a world lost to time and full of secrets.

Ana made her way to the bridge, he helm now off, her long silver white hair flowing as she took the controls and helping guide the ship on to what she thought was a tongue inside the Space Whale. Then suddenly there was that familiar jolt as she knew not from screens, because all she saw now was the shadow of the inside of this Purgil's mouth, that they had made the jump. Leaning back in her chair she made a sigh of relief, she was rather tired, and had made a repair, though once on the planet she would need to do some more work on it. Never would she have thought after leaving Dathomir that she would be employing the trade of a mechanic.

Seeking out Lyssara, she clapped her hands and said,
"Sister! Well done! It seems that you master any challenge set before you!"
Ana was thrilled for her, she was not the jealous type. She had been the assistant of another brilliant star, who had since left for another galaxy as well. She wondered how he was, and if he had found what he had sought? Ana sat beside her Sister, it was comforting that she too was initiated in the Magicks, that two Sisters of the Night would be exploring the lost world of her people. For who knows what wonders, and what perils await...
