STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Lightsaber Proficiency - Strength
Peritus from a young age relied more on items to engage in combat, his main possessions are his Sentinel Lightsaber hilt and his Saberstaff lightsaber hilt which detaches itself into Dual Lightsaber Hilts for further use in combat. Peritus doesn't ever concern himself a master practitioner in the main lightsaber combat forms, nor does he say he has perfected it. Others say they've been unable to match his brute strength, calm and focused mindset alongside some tactics to back him up in any conflicts he confronts. Below you shall find his known tutors, mentors and instructors in each combat form using the lightsaber. Back in the day Peritus kept on training in all the lightsaber combat forms to keep his skills at peak standards as times had changed, he trained his students constantly in majority of the combat forms prepared them before they ventured off-world when carrying out missions together.
Lightsaber Combat Forms
- Soresu, Form III: Practised alongside Jedi Master Vollund Sol and Jedi Master Dravith Straife
- Djem So/Shien, Form V: Studied with Jedi Master Xamir Khazen and Jedi Knight Adrador Straife.

Bladed Weapon Proficiency - Weakness
Peritus only carries one sword called a "Zhaboka" double-bladed sword, this is used to keep his training ongoing in using his Saberstaff lightsaber hilt. He doesn't rely heavily on it as his lightsabers are always in his utility belt, robes when engaging in combat. Not as skilled in using any other kinds of bladed weapons he only uses this blade to train with, he has never used it outside of the training spires as it is just as deadly as a lightsaber. Jedi Master Xamir Khazen handed Peritus this weapon when he was learning how to use a Saberstaff as a Jedi Padawan under Dravith's tutelage. Xamir and Dravith saw the immense brute strength in Peritus and thought upon tightening his defence work where it then came to mind a Saberstaff used wisely will give him some advantages over others in combat.
Unarmed Proficiency - Strength
Since he was a infant Peritus started to learn very basic traits of Teras Kasi but later on decided by his mentor, Dravith. Silvas requested to train Peritus in the martial art style known as "Broken Gate" and this would not be as deadly as Teras Kasi's raw power. Broken Gate contains strikes, stomps and throws allowing to end, disable opponents without causing more damage. Peritus continues to use this martial art due to learning it at a very young age and maintained practising it all the way through his Jedi lifestyle. Silvas was impressed with how much knowledge and technique he had picked up, with his height and weight giving some cons and pros Peritus learned to adapt to what was required off him when using Broken Gate.
Force Attunement - Strength
When he was brought to the Jedi temple, Dravith had noticed Peritus couldn't control his abilities in the Force properly. Peritus began to focus more on control his emotions, feelings and thoughts whilst using the manipulations in the Force. He wanted his mind to control all actions of his body to avoid letting any outbursts of emotion cause the Force to attack any living life-form he engages. Many years of meditation routines, Peritus shows a lot of control in using basic Force powers he doesn't rely heavily on the Force only seeing it as an ally and as a last resort when a situation becomes more difficult to handle. Recently he has been training with current Jedi Sagemaster, Jedi Master and Jedi High Councillor Luna Caedus to cast the technique "Battlemind" upon himself. Luna is guiding him in practising both floating and moving meditation forms then following up with Alchaka to be ready to perform "Battlemind" when the time comes. Due to training in Vaapad, Luna agreed that this was the best way forward to prevent Peritus falling to the darkside when using Vaapad.
Force Combat - Weakness
Although his attunement to the Force is advanced, Peritus doesn't use the Force a lot when combating against any enemies of the Jedi and Republic. This is a big weakness of his, he has been learning other methods in avoiding using Force Manipulations against his foes. He is capable of fighting with some Force energy in some battles but he does not allow himself to use one or few manipulations in the Force this will drain his own energy at a high cost if he overuses the Force energy around him unless it is a last resort in bringing down criminals, enemies or foes he faces.
Speed - Weakness
Due to his mass and size, Peritus cannot move as quick as other individuals that are smaller than him. Although he is quick on a average basis he isn't capable to catch-up with those possess great agilities and speeds within themselves. On some occasions Peritus does tend to rely on using the Force technique known as Force Speed. He does not heavily depend on it but when the situations call for enhancing his abilities this is one of them. Controlling his speed is another issue he has yet to overcome, again due to his height and weight Peritus can cause more to someone or something else if he isn't careful in decreasing his agility when it begins to develop during combat situations.
APPEARANCE: Peritus wears dark brown over robes upon his figure, underneath wearing dark cream-beige under garments. Around his waistline he always wears his utility belt but switches it with a Stealth Field Generator belt when on a Stealth and Infiltration mission. Footwear he always wore the tradition Jedi dark brown boots. Most of these items have weights in them as apart of Peritus' training in becoming more light-weight and faster to conquer his agility weakness.
BIOGRAPHY: Peritus was born on the planet Haruun Kal raised with his mother and father, he was their first born. His mother Sapias Vis was raised on Coruscant, she had met Ferro Vis, Peritus' father on Corellia when he was gathering supplies. Sapias was stationed in the Galactic Republic Military Armed Forces whilst Ferro was a Jedi Master of the Jedi Order, both of whom decided to work more closely together. An immense battle on Ruusan occurred where it had left many Republic soldiers and Jedi either killed or critically injured. Unfortunately, Sapias was one of many casualties in this great conflict against the Sith Empire and the Mandalorians. Ferro had managed to heal Sapias but their bond towards one another grew too great to control in their line of work, especially Ferro being a Jedi. They both had decided to resign from active positions in both the Republic and Jedi Order when Sapias discovered she had fallen pregnant with Peritus two weeks after the battle, no more risks could be taken. Once the couple had retired from their roles, they arranged to get married on Haruun Kal and reside there for the rest of their lives. After Peritus being born, months after, they got married. Living a quiet life on Haruun Kal in their new home within the outpost which later grew into a small town, village located in the outskirts.
Five years later on Tython Sapias was tending to Peritus when he was getting some supplies from the marketplace in the village. Ferro was contacting the Jedi High Council, concerned about his son. He had informed the Councillors that Peritus was displaying Force Sensitivity right before him. Ferro didn't want Peritus to go to the darkside of the Force, serving against the Republic and the Jedi Order. It was arranged that Dravith would scout out Haruun Kal to find Peritus but be vague with the details of the assignment provided to the Jedi Master. Dravith had confronted to Sith Assassins that knew about Ferro and Sapias, their task was to assassinate Ferro and imprison Sapias in their Sith Academy. Luck was on the Vis family's side this time around, Dravith had engaged the two Sith alongside Ferro but Peritus didn't knew his father was fighting alongside a Jedi Master. The Sith Assassins lost their battle against the duo, Ferro ran away from Peritus and Dravith to avoid him knowing what was going on. Peritus was unsure at this point whether to run after the man (his father) or go with Dravith back to the Jedi Temple upon Corellia. Dravith didn't force him to come but Peritus went along with him to become a Jedi, defend and protect those who were defenceless against enemies of both the Jedi and the Republic.
