I see nothing offensive in this. On a majority scale, this is fairly accurate. I appreciate that love for my Primeval baby
Mind you, this is obviously not saying all members of said factions are like this, but commonly have these traits, at least that is my take of what you said.
The fact people are getting significantly upset over one persons thoughts is quite discouraging.

So. Um. Ash. We gotta talk dear. Look? Creating new threads in public places REALLY isn't the answer to what you're looking for. What you're looking for is probably 2 weeks of not posting much in the OOC forums, followed by accepting that other people will be annoyed with you for awhile, followed by you deciding to ignore the opinions of other people; so that you can get back to joys of just RPing StarWars.
So. Let's review.
No more creating public OOC threads for at least, 2 weeks. Accept that your words hurt some feelings and understand your sorrow for that is genuine for yourself. And lastly, ignore any peer pressure you recieve right now and remember this is all just a game, played on the Internet, with strangers.
