Description:
The Dark Horizon comes equipped with an antimissile octet, when activated would create a firing solution for any incoming missiles. This gave the ship a boosted means of defense, since it only possesses average offensive capabilities. The ship comes with two shield types, the ion shield to allow protection from ion storms when travelling through planetary atmospheres and other radiation sectors in the galaxy, and the guardian-class shield that created a heavy shield that protected against particle and energy weapons.
The IFF transponder allows for the tracking of friendly and foe ships that it encounters while both the baffler and scrambler, working in tandem, allows the ship to hide it's own signature and at times scramble the signature making it difficult for other ships to get an accurate read. Both the baffler and scrambler was a deterrent against pirates and those seeking to hunt for the Count. Though two separate components, they worked best when both utilized simultaneously.
One of the most important aspects of the ship is the stasis chamber. Because the sangvamps at times need to go into hibernation, this allowed for any Venjuta Bloodline vampirika to utilize it. It was also used for long travels through space. On board the ship is the council chambers. This allowed for Count Marlow Venjuta to host meetings either personally or through holoprojections with various House Venjuta members and leaders throughout the galaxy.
Lacking in a powerful weapon's system, it comes established with both cluster missiles and homing torpedoes. The former is the secondary weapon of the ship next to the traditional ion cannons while the latter, less powerful but more maneuverable, allows for more precise strikes against enemy ships.
The cargo capacity for the Dark Horizon is average in comparison to ship's of it's size. Since the Venjuta require to feast on blood once a week, there is no need for a high amount of consumables like food and drink, even if the Count is entertaining 'mortals] on board. The crew of the ship, comprised of Venjuta, numbers vary depending on the length of the travel needed. Mostly it has a basic skeleton crew of 30 while at times it can boaster up to 50.
The Dark Horizon was created for the Count of House Venjuta, currently Marlow Venjuta, in 850 ABY as a means of transportation through the galaxy.
