- Capable of plugging into a personal computer or wrist computer to be programmed for various signal requirements.
- Capable of being programmed via a cannibalized scope system through a users helmet in a similar fashion.

- Programmable Homing Signal Sending only a handful of pre-programmable signals in a disposable package to the appropriate receiver makes the battlefield a little easier to manage in the heat of battle.
- Ion/EMP While powered down, the disposable homing beacons are not beholden to these powers, but mid signal broadcast can disrupt the homing beacon and possible skew whatever aid was being rendered.

- Chirps When actively sending a homing signal, the grenade chirps like a bird as it relays the programmed information.
- Announcement As it is sending a homing signal, it is quite noticeable to scanners, though the content of the signal is not easily decrypted.

The need to expedite signals to those upstairs came to mind during the process of preparing a private military unit. Rather than rely entirely on communications via personnel directly, a novel idea formed at the possibility of a programmable homing beacon that sends altered signals to clarify the need of those using the homing beacon.
Using a lighter casing that was decently protected from Ionic and EMP weapons, the internal components are as minimal as possible while still being capable of carrying out the intended task. At first the task was overly daunting, and proved far-fetched given the attempt at simplifying the required aid needing rendered. The issue however was solved when the idea came in with simplified values for the signal. High Priority Target or HPT as an example of needing fire support with modifiers such as S for Starfighter support or O for Orbital support. Ground Requirement Codes with minimal additions such as M for medical supplies, A for ammunition, O for ordinance, GA for ground armor, VM for mobile ground vehicles, VE for Exploration Vehicles, and VF for fighting vehicles. Further augmentation of the signal requires time and can send clearer requirements for what is needed, but also take a bit more time to process besides what is pre-programmed.
Content with the requirements being met, the schematics were uploaded to the PGEM system and ready for production.
