  • Capable of communicating battlefield information between each other quickly.
  • Capable of generating/performing group based actions with ease.

  • Battle Droid Built with the purpose of war in mind, the entire assembly was geared to not only being a functional unit, but also its own maintainer in between conflicts.
  • Tactics While the units take commands, they are also more than able to generate their own tactics with one another in the field.

  • Stubborn As much an asset as it is a problem, the ability to generate tactics comes with the issue of arguing about statistical analysis of those orders and can lead to issues with orders.
  • Average These are purpose built for war on a large scale and have no capabilities beyond being inorganic grunts.
  • Little Exposed Despite already having some body plating, there are parts and pieces of these droids that are exposed and would ruin some combat functionality if damaged.

While fielding a private army of organics was the original idea, the need for an entirely organic group was shifting. Deciding to bolster the organics with non-organics as the PGEM group had usually decided in the past by means of a Fourth Degree droid.

Debate about what even to use was hotly debated. A treaded droid would provide solid ground clearance capabilities while also allowing for a heavy weapons platform. An argument was made for repulsor based systems to be used and quickly shot down given the possibilities of working outside a gravity system and with systems that disabled repulsor systems. Ultimately ending up on a bi-pedal design for mobility and ease of manufacturing. Wondering then the specific requirements that might be needed for such a droid, the process at first began with making a tactical droid capable of leading and fighting. Shifting eventually until it was decided for a general purpose fourth degree rather than attempting to specialize their first attempt. Heavily focusing on making the droid as capable as possible without it becoming a maintenance nightmare in the end.

Adding a number of additional systems to bolster communications capabilities as well as its capacity for tactics. A memory bank was added to save details of a battle from each unit to feed into the PGEM system to upgrade their capabilities in whatever field seemed to need more focused attention to correct. An emergency reactivator was added for those operating them to reactivate units in a pinch in case of attempts at sabotage away from the field. A final few pieces of logistics puzzles were solved with an added IMR system to allow the droids to serve a function besides being large paperweights when not in combat to maintenance equipment.

The heaviest focus came in the form of needing to program weapons that would function with the droids given the tactician chip upgrade. Pulling a list from a familiar group that traded their weapons on the market readily with everyone to add to the base weapons systems that PGEM had available. With the requirements met to provide a generalized battle droid, the schematics were uploaded to the PGEM system and ready for production.
