  • Clamshell Much like the standard GR-75 Medium Transport, this modern adaptation features a clamshell style hull that offers significant improvements to its durability.
  • Engine Modes As with all PGEM vessels featuring the VOID engines, the vessel has three operating modes and can drastically change the vessels Flight capabilities. Most notably the speed of this vessel in a pinch using boost mode.

  • Unarmed The vessel relies entirely on its ability to weather damage while trying to escape a fight using its speed. It has no offensive or defensive capabilities aside from attempting to ram another vessel to clear a path.

Crew Minimum: 1 + Droid Copilot System
Optimal Crew: 7 Crew + 1 Droid Copilot
Passenger Capacity: 125 (Passenger Configuration) / 55 (Transport Configuration) / 150 (Internals Gutted)
Cargo Capacity: 21,000 Metric Tons (Cargo Configuration) / 8,500 Metric Tons (Transport Configuration)
Supply Capacity: 6 months

Seeing a use for adapting an old ship for civilian use, the GR-75 Medium Transport was brought to the design table. Noted for its lack of durability among other issues, bringing the old ship a new life was an easy task for the design team.

Gutting many of the internal systems before replacing them with much smaller and less demanding systems freed up space for other uses. Streamlining the engine and drive systems allowed for significant gains in cargo storage and additional cargo handling systems. A dedicated internal crew station was fitted to the front of the vessel, and linked with externally mounted transducer panels to aid in orienting the vessel in space docking situations.

While some argued for the inclusion of weapon systems, the idea was scrapped after drawing attention to the previously designed Sledgehammer Corvette as an escort potential for companies or systems purchasing this new transport design.

The floor plan for the internal cargo and passenger spaces is modular with the most noted feature being the two separate decks inside the armored hull. A lower deck with direct access to the loading and unloading ramps at both bow and stern, with the bow loading ramp featuring an expanding Docking Tube for non-atmospheric purposes. The second deck, directly above the first connects to the crew cabin and is most often the dedicated storage compartment in transport configurations.

Both decks are equipped with internal magnetic hoists that socket into the back wall of the deck areas respectively. The entry and exit points between decks are also at the bow and stern. The bow egress point being a ladder with the stern egress being a staircase.

Without weapons systems demanding more internal space, the focus became increasing the vessel's durability and speed. Managing this with dedicated additions to closing the gap in the hull plating, and enclosing the internal hull from potential threats with further hull plating. The decision to keep the engines separate rather than making a large array came at the cost of some maneuverability, but did not detract from the overall speed of the craft. A noted side effect of streamlining the hull and having an internal command bay was the gain in atmospheric speed with the reduced drag.

Given the lack of any weapons on board, the vessel requires an escort or other services in case of hostile activity in its operating area. Relying on the boosted durability and speed to escape from dangerous situations.
