  • Phase Candles allow the person who lights the candle on both ends to Phase swiftly to a location.
    • If the candle is lit with mundane means (such as a lighter, a match, and such), the phasing will be to a distance of about 350 meters.
    • If the candle is lit with a Force ability (such as alter elements fire, arrows of fire, and such), the phasing will be to a distance of about 750 meters.
  • In addition to the phasing, the user will also be moving incredibly quickly, appearing to the naked eye as a super quick blur that is there one moment and gone the next.
  • If the person who lights the Phase Candle is holding the hand of another person at the same time, that person will also be phased with them. The limitation is up to four people, regardless of their mass or species (unless they are Force Dead).
  • Once the phasing is complete, the candle's flame will die immediately.
  • Using a Phase Candle uses up a lot of it. Candles are limited to three uses if they are unharmed.
  • Phase Candles are expensive, averaging out as about the average worth of six months salary for a middle class worker for general context. These are not meant for low or middle class customers, though if they were to save up enough money, they would not be barred from purchase.

  • The Phase Candles let the person who light the candle on both ends phase up to 350/750 meters.
  • The Phase Candles work even if ignited by Non-Force Users.

  • The Phase Candles will not work if lit by someone who is Force Dead.
  • The Phase Candles will not work in the presence of any Force-nullifying creatures or objects.
  • Phase Candles are very soft, but scratching their surface anywhere deeper than 0.1 millimeters will render them useless.
  • The distance that the Phase Candles carry a person or group cannot be controlled. It's more or less 350/750 meters and not up to 350/750 meters.
  • The Phase Candles do not assure safety upon arrival - if a person tries to use them to get to an unknown location, ending up one with a wall is a small, albeit possible scenario.

The Phase Candles are the first product from a new line of fairytale and folklore inspired weapons and objects by Whimsy. Choosing an old children's poem that was popular mostly in the Core thousands of years ago and can still be found in many nursery rhyme datapads nowadays, the idea of the candle appealed to the Whimsy R&D teams, and they decided to create one.

Work into the candles took many months. Finding the right balance of the candle wax components was a dangerous game, and many of the initial test subjects found themselves suddenly part of the Whimsy HQ's foundations after having finished the phasing directly inside of them. The original wicks had proved unstable, sometimes not working at all and sometimes working much further than intended, and work on them took a few months more until a balance was found for a wick thin enough to still sustain the phase, but on the other hand not burn through so fast that the phasing had no time to complete.

Of course, all through this, the Sith Alchemists of Whimsy worked alongside the scientists, imbuing both candle wax and wick with the Force to ensure the intended result was achieved. The sheer amount of strange and weird ingredients that had to be used to achieve the final result bumped the price of the candles up more than the company had initially expected, making the end product one that was mostly aimed for those who were rich.

The marketing of the candles focus mainly on household safety, as a way to quickly get out in case one's house is under attack. However, that is far from being the only way these candles are implemented.

In addition to the phasing, the user will also be moving incredibly quickly, appearing to the naked eye as a super quick blur that is there one moment and gone the next.

So I wanted to get some clarification on this. The candle when lit, is able to allow a person/people to not only phase through objects, but also have a usage of "Force Speed/Dash" which will allow them to traverse this limitation of meters much faster, or can they potentially extend that range in which they can move by using this dash mechanic because they are moving faster?

Secondly, if they move faster, or have to phase through more material/obstructions, does it burn the candle faster?

Hello there :)

The candle when lit, is able to allow a person/people to not only phase through objects, but also have a usage of "Force Speed/Dash" which will allow them to traverse this limitation of meters much faster, or can they potentially extend that range in which they can move by using this dash mechanic because they are moving faster?
If I understand your question correctly - lighting the candle does both the phasing and the speed of it at the same time. The distance given in the submission is the distance through which they phase quickly, and that is not meant to be altered/changed.

if they move faster, or have to phase through more material/obstructions, does it burn the candle faster?
No. The intended funtion is that each candle will burn three times, and three times only. By the end of the third usage there's nothing left that can be used for the phasing dash.

Thank you for the clarification.

One last little thing.

This is used with Sith Alchemy. Which is typically restricted in production rating of Semi-Unique, unless substantial weaknesses are presented. While this is not armor, or an extremely powerful weapon, its still listed as "Mass-Produced" I would like to ask either the production be reduced to Semi-unique/Limited, or to provide more weaknesses that will balance it out.
