SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Tactical Accuracy - The Minerva HUD system creates an overlay of the battlefield to assist with combat, including targeting, hiding, avoiding environmental hazards and so forth, giving the wearer a boost to awareness and accuracy.
  • Not Breathtaking - The facemask contains both a breath mask and a re-breather to ensure that its wearer always has enough compatable air to breathe. It is triggered on by the presence of a hostile atmospheric environment (including submersion in water).
  • Shatterproof - Reinforced Duraplast ensures the facemask is resilient to kinetic and lightsaber attacks, as well as EMP or ion cannon damage.
  • Eager Absorber - Dura-armor construction will keep the facemask from being shot off by blasters or other energy weapons.
  • Powderpunk Integration - Built to be integrated into the Phase I Powderpunk Armor, receiving data from its sensors and neural network.
  • Kaleidoscopic Color - Pink and Blue lights mix together at the front of the facemask to create visual patterns. This has no real practical effect, but it looks super cool!
WEAKNESSES
  • Full Frontal Only - The facemask only covers the wearer's face and chin, leaving the forehead and rest of the head vulnerable. It could be paired with a hood for aesthetics, but is incompatible with other protective helmets.
  • Colorful Giveaway - Blue and pink colored lights on the mask make true stealthiness an issue, making it implausible to stay hidden with the mask on.
DESCRIPTION
After spending time on missions for Darkwire and a few liaisons with the Agents of Chaos, Daiya discovered a need to protect her face as well as her body. Rejecting the notion of a full helmet or a mask that obscurred her identity, she instead commissioned a hybrid face mask through her contacts. Daiya wound up working with Locke & Key Mechanics, a company that took a particular interest in developing the headgear for some reason. Since they were offering a discount to her, it didn't really matter.

The Powderpunk Facemask works alongside the Powderpunk Armor, utilizing sensors along the armor and within the mask itself to display data through the Minerva HUD system. The HUD can be controlled by voice or by the Hololink XJ9 integrated in the Powderpunk Armor, and has authority over the mask's air supply systems and glowbeams mounted on either side of the mask's see-through goggles.
