Halberd Description
Description: With a need for more than simply a phrik sword or gauntlets when being forced to fight lightsaber users in a melee fight sometimes it helps to keep your distance. So what's the most versatile weapon to do that? Well the all encompassing halberd and its many uses.
How it's built. The halberd is built very standard, there's nothing that goes into it that makes it terribly special. As far as black smithing goes it's standard phrik ore and its forged, casted, then formed with high quality smithing. It's about six and a half feet tall which means it's a great weapon for keeping opponents at a distance.
Power. The Swiss Army knife of weapons the Halberd is deadly in multiple dimensions. Starting with its axe blade this can do some serious cleaving and cutting damage to people. It can cut through most light and medium armors but has trouble piercing heavier armors. Next is the hook at the rear which is meant for disabling and disarming, use it for cutting muscle, hooking weapons and pushing them aside, whatever it is the hook can get it done. But by far the deadliest part of the halberd is the bladed spike at the top, each side is razor sharp and with enough force in a stabbing motion the spike will run through even heavy plate armor. It's a deadly weapon and can be used for multiple aspects in combat.
Drawbacks. It's one point seven meter halberd, so if you are going to use it then make sure you have room for it. It's not great for fighting in tight quarters but an experienced fighter can make it work. Another weakness it shares is that it's power is at the end, if your opponent can get past the business end all you have to defend yourself is a staff, while hitting someone with a metal staff will hurt its not as deadly as the front end of the weapon.
Summary. The Halberd is a classic weapon and can be used in many situations, it's a multi use weapon of warfare and will pretty much guarantee an edge when keeping your opponents at a distance from striking you. It's lightsaber resistant and will handle well in battle.
