Physical Disciplines

From the time since her force sensitivity was discovered, she had been training and studying under Master Nytrau. As much as she was a healer at heart, her profession brought dangers on the battlefield. Though her first instinct is to her al the injured, she would still be prone to attack if she didn't take the time to learn other disciplines. A skill she has found to be able to use without knowledge would be her enhanced strength, though it was strong and ferocious in its own right, she knew she could take much much further. Also, what is a unarmed combatant with no formal training. She was good at brawling, but she needed to expand on this.

When she was introduced to Tracyn Ordo, she had heard many stories since her time within the Republic. She would've never thought they would interact in such a manner as this. In some ways she was nervous, but at the same time honored. On Ossus , for the moment, she was here to meet with the Jedi Knight on request of her Master.

[member="Eevy Wes"] seemed nervous. Tracyn had told her to meet her in the garden, far away from any place to practice a martial art. He was staring up at a tree, a tree with white blooming flowers and they fell around him, collecting on the ground and in the garden. It was tranquil like no other place. He smiled as she came into view. He gestured to the seat beside him.

"Good afternoon. I suppose you're here to learn then?"

She smiled, one that would show she felt welcomed. Here she was thinking he was this menacing person, but look! She walked closer, though slowly. The heels in her boots would pierce the ground beneath her, so she stuck only a little bit as she crossed the garden. She pushed the hair from her face, placing it behind her ear. She looked at the tree, trying to see what might have been so significant about it that made him stare. She was new at this whole Jedi thing, and she assumed everything they did might have held some type of lesson? Hmm.

His smiled provoked another from her, most welcoming he seemed, nope he was. She walked over and slowly sat down beside him.
"Yes, I've heard your one of few Jedi who can truly help me. Anything you could teach me would be most appreciated." she said chuckling after, it was like a symbol for a relief.

He stared at the flowing pedals for a moment, standing slowly, holding out his palm. Small pedals began to collect on his hand. The tree was full of life, shedding it's old pedals for new, blooming new ones. Tracyn smiled at the visage, truly enjoying the visage. There were few things in the galaxy that could be compared to the beauty of having the privilege of seeing a wonder such as this. Tracyn turned, letting the pedals gently float to the ground beneath him. He inclined his head, examining the woman for a moment.

"And what exactly would you like to learn?"

She could see that he was enjoying himself, a sight to see, especially at times such as this. The place was beautiful, and she hadn't had a chance to vibist this place before, not even when the Republic liberated this place. She turned to look at him when he asked her a question, well she had come here to advance physically. She already had some combat training, but she wanted to hone them more. She began to speak.

"Well, I have developed the ability to enhance my strength. This ability, I'll use to intimidate my opponents so I can take care of my duties as a healer. I need your help to further advance this ability, and I also want you to teach me some Teräs Käsi, I've heard of your knowledge of these skills, and my master recommended you. I hope you will teach me."

Tracyn began to give a hearty laugh, something not many had heard in many years. He turned to face her, still smiling."I can teach you to punch through durasteel, break men's bones with a few simple movements, shoot a rifle so well that it becomes an extension of your body, and I can teach you how to hide in the jungle, the desert, the snow, become such a fearful predator to men that you become more like a ghost than a person. I can teach you to wear armor to where it becomes a second skin."He stopped, and then slowly rose from the bench, pacing slowly to the tree. He turned back to her.

"I can teach you Teras Kasi. I can teach you it in it's entirety. I can teach you all the forms, all the strikes, but...there is more to Teras Kasi than just the physical aspects of it. Are you ready for that?"Tracyn looked up at the tree, the swirling white mass causing a sort of hypnotic effect in his eyes.

Her eyes widened as he explained, and she too stood up as he went down the list of possibilities. She wanted in, and she hoped he could tell just by looking at her face. She placed her hands on her hips, and had a smirk the entire time just listening. She shook her head a couple of times. Then she nodded, to agree. She followed behind him as he went towards the tree, stopping on the side of him she then looked up and then back down at him as he continued to talk.

"Teach me, I'm ready. I'm aware it'll be challenging, but hey that's life nowadays. I want you to make me a warrior just like you. I don't know about the armor part, as that'll probably slow me down while I'm moving across the field, but I'm liking the sound if becoming a fearful predator when I have to. Please, I'm ready." she said placing emphasis on the please in the later parts of her statement.

Tracyn stared at the sky for a moment, then took a deep breath. He turned to face her, staring at her with his predatory glance, more of a disappointed look across his features. He blinked several times before speaking once more."You do not want to be like me, child. Jedi do not have the desire to become powerful beings, this is a dangerous and vicious path you are walking, Miss Wes. I can teach you many things, but I will not be teaching you if you have a desire to only seek power and further your skills as a warrior. War is all I've known, but peace is all I hope for. The idea, the notion, to become a great warrior is dangerous, destructive, and most importantly, very un-Jedi like. I would suggest, refraining from having such childish fantasies of power and status in the future."

He began to pace, rubbing his thumb and his index together, blinking and staring at the woman, for a while longer.

"I don't seek power! I seek to hone my skills so that I can defend myself and those that'll need it, if the need arises. Power isn't everything, but these skills I'll need in order to fulfill my job as a healer. You know just as well as I do that things can get crazy out there, and if I don't know how to care for myself how can I care for another."

She needed to learn a discipline, petty brawling was not always the best way to go about being on the battlefield. She had to play to her strengths and hand to hand was something she had a niche for, but it was a raw skill that needed the help of someone who knew what they were talking about, these were backup plans, her place on the field was only to the injured.

[member="Eevy Wes"] had a point. He turned and stared at her, sneering a lip. It wasn't out of spite, it was just the gravity of what he was about to say which made him do so. He spoke in a gravelly tone, a Concord Dawn accent still etched into his words, even though he hadn't been to his home planet in years."Do not approach Teras Kasi with such a nonchalant attitude, for it could easily prove too much for you. It was difficult, it was extremely difficult, for me to even begin to understand. I hope you understand this."He paused, turning towards her.

"Your mind and body, is the first step to understanding Teras Kasi. Are you familiar with them both?"

Yeah he was right! she was so stuck on learning it that she didn't even think if what the consequences might be. The strain this could put on her body could be too much. She was keen on learning it though, so she listened to what he was going to say. His lip had poked out, and she wondered if he was a symbol of something important to come. It was slightly funny, just a little. She didn't laugh though. She nodded when she warned her of not approaching it in the manner she did.

"Familiar with my mind and body? Yeah I think I am."

"There is a difference between knowing what you physically look like - and what you physically are. I am going to break you, mentally and physically. Only then, can we start in Teras Kasi. You will know yourself by the end of this training better than you know anything else in the universe. First, you are going to find me something in the forest."Tracyn paused. He clasped his hands over his mouth, thinking of the lesson that he found himself in when he was a learner. He turned outwards, facing the lush green and brown hues of the forest. He waved a hand over it.

"You will find me something in that forest, something that is out of place there. And you will bring it to me, and you tell me why you brought it. If I am not satisfied, you will be sent back until I am. When you find what is out of place, you must tell me why it is out of place, and why you brought it to me. It must mean something, it must invoke something to you."Tracyn looked outwards, glancing this way and that way, before his chrome gray eyes turned back to face the young woman.

"Go forth, and wonder, my student."
