Jaxson was curious about why Taeli had wanted to meet him in this, admittedly, backwards system in the Expansion Region. He had read the history of the system, well what he could find in historical databases, and he could see the potential in the system. Plenty of raw materials on Cularin itself, Almas would be perfect for a secret facility, Genarius had tibanna gas in its atmosphere, but he had a feeling Taeli had another interest in the system as well.

The click of heels announced her arrival, and he turned to meet his boss.

"So now that we're in the system, mind telling me what exactly we're here for?" Jaxson asked.

"We're going to be starting off with two operations in this system," she said, pulling up a holographic chart of the system itself. "I want gas mining established on Genarius, it's time we established our own internal supplies of tibanna and other gases so we no longer need to import from others. The other point of interest is the asteroid belt."

"Why the asteroid belt?" Jaxson asked, curious what could be so interesting. Yes, asteroids would have plenty of raw materials for use in construction and such, but Taeli had that look in her eye that she had some nugget of information not available to most people.

"Because it has Adegan crystal deposits," she replied. "And we're going to harvest those crystals for a new project I was reading about."

"I didn't realize we were so strapped for cash that we would start mining crystals," Jaxson chuckled, knowing full well that the company was doing fine currently. He knew Adegan crystals were like nova crystals on the galactic market, but as soon as Taeli tutted, he knew that wasn't why she was interested in them.

"Adegan crystals, while valuable, have other uses," Taeli said. "Jedi and other Force users use them in the construction of lightsabers, the most common of those being kathracite, relacite, danite, and methite. However, for our purposes, we need either methite or pontite crystals."

"And what might that purpose be?" Jaxson asked.

"A new stealth system based on Adegan crystals," Taeli answered, smiling slyly at the surprised look on Jaxson's face. "You could say my paranoia for our Sianium facilities made me realize we needed something new for protecting them besides defenses. Stygium would be ideal, but acquiring enough to cloak an entire facility would be a bit much, and hibiridium was ruled out because it has that double blind effect."

"So we're going to develop a stealth system for our ground facilities on these Adegan crystals? Just where did you get this idea from?" Jaxson asked, running through different scenarios at how they could use this tech. Maybe it would be included in space stations as well, or even a smaller version for larger ships.

"Thousands of years ago, the Sith Empire of Vitiate developed a cloaking device based on Adegan crystals harvested from Ilum," Taeli replied. "Only mention of this device existing remained in the old archives, no schematics, so we're going to be flying in the dark on this one. I'll be handling the mining operations, and I trust you can handle establishing ourselves in the Genarius atmosphere?"

"Of course, Taeli."
