Pink champagne sipped on pink clouds

A month passed by before Sam reached out to [member="Delila Castillon"] she knew that they both had things to do before making their way to Zeltros. Sam had taken time from work and made her way to the planet of pheromones, beauty and gambling. Recently Zeltros had come under the influence of the Coalition.

Sam didn't know much about them but it seemed they were a good bunch helping out across the galaxy. Eh but that was politics and this was about relaxing.

Sam stood in the space port looking out across the city waiting for Dels to join her. She wondered if Brad and Hawk ever made their trip.

Course now she did invite her mother but she had plans with her new boy toy so it would just be her and Dels this trip. Who knows if this went well maybe there would be others. It was weird though to be vacationing with her brother's ex.

Eh, life goes on.

Delila didn't have the same hang-ups about vacationing with her former sister-in-law [member="Samantha Solo"] . Just because she wasn't married into the family there was supposed to be some type of hate?Besides, Dells didn't have the best track record with female friends. Numerous times it was like oil and water. Sam seemed to be one of the few she could stomach past five minutes of being together.

Striding across the spaceport the redhead waved as she approached, luggage toting behind her.

"Sorry, transport was running late. I see its just us...I thought you invited a few others? Eh, doesn't matter because I suspect we're going to have more than enough fun this weekend." Hopefully neither women would end up in jail! Delila hugged the other woman briefly. "How've you been?"

"Well there you are" She turned into the embrace of her ex sister-in-law. Well she couldn't keep calling her that now could she. Dels. That would be better the other just had too much baggage with it.

"I invited Mom and her friend, but they declined, and I wasn't inviting Hawk and Brad. I'm fine still alive, how are you?" Everything that had happened the subjects that were just lightly touched at dinner perhaps here just them they could speak a little more freely."

She had a feeling Dels picked up on more things that her brothers did and that was because they were men and just not that in tune with women, or in this case with their sister.

"What person in their right mind would invite Hawk and Brad willingly?"

Delila was only partially joking. It wasn't that she hated the men but more or less the fact they were both incredibly clueless. Trying to hold a regular conversation would be near impossible with the two around. She didn't comment on her ex mother-in-law and her apparent new beau, but Delila thought it was best for the older woman. Hawk had probably thrown up at the near thought but she was supportive.

"Its fine, better its just us." Delila waved a hand. "Been alright, working. Trying to remember what society is like. Hard being back in crowds and around everyone."

"Still alive doesn't sound all too positive Sam."

"Well Greg and I did have a hard recovery him more than I. You know how lunatics are invading your life, trying to take your life...it leaves a mark. I" Sam stood there taking a deep breath.

"You say you're adjusting to crowds and things. Me too. My scars are more mental than physical. they had me to talk to 'doctor' she says it will take time. " Sam motioned for them to walk she always did better walking.

"I'm kind of tired of feeling anxious about strangers.." She smiled as several walked by. The group did not notice Sam and Dels but for Sam she had worked beside a man for over a year and never saw him as a threat until he broke into her house. Yeah..that kinda ruined their friendship.

"The crowds always feel too close to me..like they're smothering me...how about you?"

"Sometimes the scars we can't see are worse than the ones you can."

Delila felt a little out of the loop on the entire situation. Brad had been zero to no help - not that she expected Brad to be receptive to anything. Especially not when it came to his sister. Both brothers seemed to ignore the fact their sister wasn't completely fine. Either willfully or through the fact both were ignorant. Perhaps they always expected her to be the 'fine' one.

Right now the redhead was a sympathetic ear, listening where the other two wouldn't.

"Crowds? Never liked them before and after being away for so long...Its a little worse. I'm forcing myself to get used to it but I am finding more and more I spend my time isolated. Its just easier. I'm sure you understand that."

[member="Delila Castillon"]

"That's a fact" she could feel hers that crawled over her skin and into her mind as often as she took a breath. She nodded, "I understand isolation or being alone just allows me to control the awkward questions, and that sensation that I'm not safe."

Yeah he had done more than injure her he had shaken her confidence. "I'm supposed to be heading back to work and..I keep saying I'm ready. But what if I'm not. What if I" She looked at Dells. "lost my edge."

She knew she had to just get back out there and do it! But she was hesitating.

She was really glad that Brad and Hawk weren't here. Not that she didn't love them dearly but they could be as dense as a box of rocks.
