DESCRIPTION
The Altor class Replensihment vehicle was created for the Empire by Tampson Consolidated to fuel its Star Destroyers and Super Star Destroyers, and their associated support fleets. It is a huge beast of a craft designed to survive the rupture and detonation of one of its own massive fuel canisters.
This robustness made it attractive to pirates, who seized the vessel from a scrapyard after it was decommissioned. They modified the massive frame of the vehicle with a multitude of laser, turbolaser, and assault missile turret armament, and loaded it up with all the shield generators it would support on its powerplant. Then they hollowed out the exterior fuel canisters- each nearly the size of a star destroyer- and made them into cavernous fighter bays.
It’s not fast, nor pretty, but it is an effective fleet command ship for a vast pirate force, and it looks like a noncombat fleet utility vehicle on sensors... until it gets close.
