Pirate Type People Doing Pirate Type Things

This character kind of got tossed aside and I really want to make her work. The basic idea I had for her right now is she's a grave robber and a treasure hunter. I'm thinking I want to get her involved in a crew and see where she goes. Really winging it here as I haven't got a clue.

So anybody want to do a roleplay with me where I join their crew and they teach me the ropes?

Sorry I'm trying to get caught up in that other thread. I have pages and pages to read through x.x
I'm not really certain where to start exactly. I've really only ever played Jedi.

Well, the best place to begin would be to figure out what kind of Pirate you want to be. Murderous and evil, Freedom Loving, Kind but can't stand authority, A combo of everything. Thats really the best place to start with Pirates, then from there you have to decide whether you want your own crew, or be part of one.

hmm well I think since I don't know much right now maybe being part of a crew would be a better idea than leading one. Then I could sort of follow the leader.

As for what type of pirate hmm maybe adventure seeking and freedom loving but I don't really see this character being murderous really

Well, Asari's crew consists of himself and what used to be a fleet of ships(Fleet has now been disbanded). Most of his crew now helps run the new Pirate Space Station but he still has his flagship.

His crew is far more like a family, than like an orderly ship crew. Basically everyone on his ship looks up to Asari as a sort of Father figure(He being 76 chronologically). Theyre a "do what we must to survive" crew. So they will kill and such but only when they have to.

lol I seen that one thread with a bunch of tags! I'm just trying to figure this character out so I can actually join things like that. Right now its sort of like blah she doesn't fit anywhere.
