Planet of Intrigues

It wasn't often Ra left her home on Vjun. When she did it was for business dealing with the Metal Lords. Something drew her away now though. The call to adventure, to go out and see something new. A burning desire to learn more was within her and that call must be answered.

The amusing thing to the secret sith lord was it lead her to Lorrd. Once the grounds of a faction she belonged to years ago. Within the arms of that faction, she had learned a great many things. Including the fact that the memory she had of her past was wrong and learned the truth of who and what she was. She also learned to be careful to who or what she gave her word to. In the end, her word almost cost her life. Not something she wanted to do again.

In the wake of the destruction of the Dominion, Lorrd had fallen prey to looters. The treasures once contained now scattered to the winds of the galaxy. One of her compatriots had assisted in taking items of value from the now former great library that once stood here. However, not everything had been taken from the planet.

Buried somewhere here was a holocron of an ancient Sith Lord. That of Darth Vectivus. It was rumored to contain his business ideals and it was known he had very little care for the alignment of others. Very much an ideal Ra had, as long as the people that viewed things differently didn't get in her way. She was business before sith in almost every aspect unless that business was being sith.

So she carried herself with confidence, but hid her alignment within the Force. Instead if somebody had the ability to read such things, Ra would appear to be a neutral apprentice in skill and level. She wore her copper hair braided and tied with a small spiked ball. Her clothing was rather form fitting, but not revealing. Only the sleeves of her shirt were loose as hidden up them were two small lightsaber hilts. There were also two knives hidden in her boots. Openly displayed was a double lightsaber hilt on her hip and on her other was a blaster. Over everything was a dark purple cloak that almost looked black with a pin attached.

Walking into a designated cantina for meeting fellow people seeking adventure, Ra went to the bar, ordered her drink and took a seat at one of the tables. She sat with an open demeanor and stance. It should be obvious she was open to be approached if anybody was interested in working with her.

Cassus had come to this world looking for a fresh start. Centuries spent in stasis had left him with very little coin and with very little strings attached to him. What was he going to do with his life at this point? He had no clue and idea where to even begin. Well, he had some idea. He had come to this planet because it seemed just as good as any of the others to get his bearings on, and what better way to spend your last bit of centuries old currency than some dive bar?

He moved into the Cantina swiftly and silently, moving to the bar next to Ra without a word though he did not acknowledge her just yet. He bought a drink, taking a sip of it and turning to put his back against the bar. He was dressed in, well, what appeared to be the trappings of the Jedi Order but his clothes were ratty, torn, and looked ancient. He wasn't visibly armed, though his lightsaber was on his hip tucked away behind his robe. His gaze wandered briefly to Ra, his eyes moving to the lightsaber on her hip. Well, this just got interesting. His first encounter with a "modern" Force User, and he couldn't quite suss out what he felt from her.

"You look like you're either starting trouble or about to be. Just let me know if you're about to start swinging that laser sword around so I can get out of the way." He smiles at her, his tone of voice almost unbelievably chipper and kind. Instead of hiding his presence in the Force, Cassus damn near broadcasted it. He was swimming in the Light, and Ra would be able tell that Cassus indeed was very strong with the Force.

Feeling the approach of a clearly light sided person through the Force even before he entered the cantina certainly had the attention of Ra. He came up next to her, ordered his own drink and then his attention passed over her. He saw her lightsaber and commented she looked like she was going to start trouble. That brought a small turn up of her lips that didn't quite reach her eyes, but showed she had a sense of humor.

Taking a sip of her drink before addressing him, her own eyes took in his look. She was no judge on fashion, but his clothes reminded her of her former master, Dune. The thought of him brought her a true sense of sorrow and for the first time in a long while she missed her old friend. He had disappeared from her life at a pivotal point in her training and that may have had a hand in making her what she was now.

Ra brought her mind out of the past to speak to the new comer. Even if moments ago, she had been a bit sorrowful, that humor had returned and displayed in her voice. Getting any outward show of emotion from her was rare, so that half smile hadn't faded, but didn't light her up.

"What gives you that idea? Call me Ra."

Short for her full name, if she did state all of it, there was a small chance somebody would remember from the days of the Dominion and reveal who she was.

"You're a redhead, that's enough warning to let me know that you probably have a plan to kill every person in this room should the need arise. You also look like you're waiting for something. Might I inquire as to what that something might be?" He finishes his drink and sets the empty glass on the bartop, motioning for the serving droid to pour him another one. The funny thing about the way he was dressed is that he could be mistaken for just about anything. Monk, farmer, some sort of a wandering homeless person. Ra would probably be able to see right through whatever kind of front he was putting up. The man is, or at the very least was, a Jedi Master. A selfless scholar of the Force who held quite a few surprises. While it wasn't out and flashing around, Cassus was indeed wearing his Kyber Crystal rosaries, the crystals of a half a dozen dead Jedi tied delicately around his neck currently hidden by the ratty tunic he wore under his equally ratty cloak. Ra wouldn't be able to see them, but she could probably sense them more likely than not.

Why Cassus felt the need to talk to this woman, well, it probably wasn't hard to do. While he did have his insular, awkward moments, he could sometimes push himself to actually be sociable with a great deal of work on his time. Oh, how he missed his hut in the countryside of Naboo, away from everything but the Force and the animals that were a part of it. Oh well. The past was gone and here he was on a strange world talking to a strange woman that could very well be the death of him some day. Time to start putting his life back together.

His words were delivered straight faced and almost totally without emotion, like he was stating a fact. He was accurate to a point however. If there was a need, yes she would kill everybody in the room. Ra doubted this would happen though. The people here were all looking for adventure and where it would lead them. As long as they didn't get in her way, they would be fine.

When she got her crystals for her sabers, they had been given to her as a gift from a then friend and now clan sister. So she did not sense the ones around his neck not ever having to search for her own. Only his alignment within the Force. That itself did not make him an enemy, only if their own ideals got in the way and he initiated an argument would they matter.

That little pin on her cloak allowed her to get a stronger reading on the emotions of people. He was different. While he appeared to be outgoing and friendly, there was a part of him that seemed to her like he wanted to crawl under a rock and hide away.

"This place is a location to look for adventure and the fellows gather here to get groups together for that."

It answered his question partially and vaguely, but it was an answer and gave an idea as to why she was here.

"Is that something you're interested in...?"

The implied unfinished sentence would indicate Ra wanted to know who she was speaking with. Having provided her name, he had to give his.

"Excuse my rudeness, I'm Cassus. Nice to meet, you, Ra. What I mean by that is that I've seen your type before. Hanging out in cantinas, looking mysterious, looking like you've got some great purpose or a chip on your shoulder. As for Adventure? Eh. I don't crave such things. I go where I'm needed, and to me it sounds like you might need me." He watches her, leaning against the bar before climbing into the stool next to him. He'd turn around, his torso facing the bar as he cants his head to look at her, hands resting on top of the bar. He wasn't quite sure what to make of her, but he was definitely intrigued by her. He tapped his fingers on the bar, ordering one last drink and sipping it slowly.

"Do you have a ship?"

Tilting her head as he said his name and that it was nice to meet her, Ra held her hand out to shake if he wanted. When he stated she had been sitting there looking mysterious, it caused her to raise an eyebrow for a moment and he continued on. In saying she may have a chip on her shoulder, she shook her head, but she did have a purpose here.

His words indicated to her that he allowed the Force to guide some of his life and its actions. Such was what a Jedi would say. As a sith, she went where she wanted, did what ever she wanted to do...within reason. Even Ra had limits and a line she wouldn't cross.

Turning his head to look at her while facing forward, she picked up a touch of curiosity from him. He ordered a drink and she motioned for another one too. May as well both get a drink at the same time than make the server work twice.

He asked if she had a ship and she nodded. While it wasn't unheard of, most people had them these days. She had gotten hers when her captain had been killed in front of her and she ran.

"It's an old YT-1300, but it does its job."

Not the only ship she had, but this one was her own.
