Faction Planetfall: A Reckoning (The Dominion)

The Rise of the Dominion is now!

There has been enough death and destruction throughout the galaxy at the hands of the Jedi and Sith and various other orders of Force Users. The people have had enough of their constant bickering and no longer want anything to do with them. On Bakura, a grassroots movement has risen to prominence among the populace with the desire to remove all Force Sensitives from the planet, take over the government, and install a new system designed for leading the people without the influence of the force. For this to occur, the current government must be overthrown.

OBJECTIVE 1
ASSAULT ON THE CAPITOL

Salis D'aar is the seat of political power on the world, a sprawling, circular city with the heart of the Bakuran sector at its center. This location is heavily protected by local soldiers, supplemented by mercenaries from various corporations that call Bakura home because of lax laws on production. These people need to be taken care of and the capital building secured from the outside. Capture of Prime Minister B'daal is essential for the success of the mission.

Objective 2
CONVERSION OF THE CORPORATIONS

For those who don't wish to fight, there are several corporations that call Bakura home. Bakur RepulsorCorp is perhaps the most important of these. It is necessary to secure the support of the corporations in order for a successful transition of power. These corporations will be essential to the development of future technology and ships for use in the battle against the Force sensitives and their supporters.

Objective 3
BYOO

If you don't find yourself interested in one of the two objectives above, feel free to bring your own!

Objective: 2

I have not been around many Force Wizards. New Cov is not goverened by them. I know of that for a fact. There is a Jedi Temple hidden deep within the jungles, but those within keep to themselves, expect for lending support during any attacks.

But not all Force Wizards are like that. Some are vile and evil like the one Sith that attacked Ilic City in an attempt to ursurp my position and to take New Cov for his own. His monsters wrecked havoc on the populace within the dome and as they were chased out, they took with them some of the Covie. I still look for them. Yet my trust of Force wizards, minus a few exceptions was very very small.

There are some that hold to such disdain to a higher degree than I do at present. I do not entirely agree with their views, yet I can understand the logic behind them. And so here I was, invited to partake in a corporate envoy to lend them my expertise and to hopefully ensure another ally.

It was finally time. Certain soft targets had been weakened in advance by some of their operatives. Others, placed strategically in positions throughout the city infrastructure and the planetary leadership were waiting for the signal to begin. Too long had the people of the galaxy been victimized by those who threw the Force around as if it were their own personal toy. Too long had it been used to dominate those who had no ability to touch it. Too many people had died because of those who could.

"Helmets on," she said to the small group of Vanguard troopers around her.

Their numbers were small. They hadn't spread their reach beyond cells on Bakura itself. Not yet. In time, once they had a seat of power from which they could coordinate, they would draft others into the movement, secure arms and vessels, begin the spread of the Dominion across the stars in the hope they could eradicate the Force's influence on sentient life throughout the galaxy.

She pulled her own helmet on, black with red trim so they could tell it was her, and slammed a magazine into her rifle after. Pulling back the bolt lever, she made sure she had a round in the chamber. She had been a victim of the wars fought in the name of the Force herself. The burns on her face, the loss of her arm. Reduced to cybernetics she was part cyborg now. Those wars had nearly killed her. They'd killed her family. They'd killed her husband. They'd killed her child before it was even born, before she even knew its gender.

They would pay.

With the others ready, she stepped out of the warehouse into an alley, and then moved forward, her rifle snapping up and her aim focused down the sight. Anyone that supported the current government, which supported the Jedi group on the world, was their enemy, and would be put down. She'd lead the charge herself. No leading from the back. That was the cowards way, and she desired revenge.

"Stay tight, and hunt. Kill them first."

A New Home - Objective 1

Since the destruction of her village she had no one else but herself. Than she met Mara, although trusting her fully has not come around; seeing people like Seris and her filled Amelie with the new invigoration she needed to hold unto her faith. What they were doing was just and necessary for a galaxy at peace. For a galaxy truly blessed.

"Helmets on," Commanded Seris and Amelie was quick to obey, donning her new helmet. She had a rigorous upbringing and the glowing stature of her new leader felt just like old times, a true leader through example. In a way she could feel the calm before a beautiful storm as they prepared. She would pull out her pocket bible and clutch it to her chest. Reciting a prayer from her church. "To the fire and flame, purging the daemons who are to blame." She opened her eyes to see her small group of vanguard compatriots. It is destined for them to win today.

"Stay tight and hunt. Kill them first." No prisoners, only the crusade. Amelie checked the fuel tanks on her flamer, nodded to Mara and fell in line behind her new leader.

The time had come. Time for her to again prove herself useful to her betters. Her carbine rifle in hand, and her scattergun holstered on her armored thigh she was ready for what lay ahead. It was time for slaughter.

"Helmets on.”

Order given, order obeyed. Mara put her helmet on, and engaged the seal. Now the only air she would breathe would come through her helmet’s filter. She shouldered her rifle and prepared to disembark from the vehicle delivering them to the carnage that was to soon unfold.

She had already memorized the city’s layout. And she had been sent in ahead not long ago to weaken the resistance they would face. She had killed the Jedi Master in charge of the local temple, and several of the knights stationed there. Realistically not all of them could have been dealt with in the short time that she’d been given, but she had nonetheless done her duty, and thinned their ranks, depriving them of leadership and skill prior to the main engagement.

She stepped out after Amelie Berionne Amelie Berionne , whom she had introduced to this little rebellion of theirs. Though since Amelia had discovered that she herself was force sensitive their previously promising friendship had become strained. Mara hardly blamed her, she knew what she was, a monster, an abomination, a thing.

But that didn’t matter now. They had a job ahead of them. And she would see it done. Just like their leader Seris Caine Seris Caine , she made sure her weapon had a round in its chamber, ready to taste blood.

It was time to earn another small iota of redemption, and justify the reason for her continued existence. It was time to serve.

The city was largely peaceful that evening. Though night had begun, the majority of people were already indoors, or patronizing various establishments throughout the concentric circle city. A few patrolmen moved here or there, usually in the high density areas of the city, such as the entertainment area, or within residential districts known for having a higher crime level. They worked in pairs and were only lightly armed as they typically weren't dealing with heavily armed opponents. Not here.

People were jovial, many largely indifferent to the presence of Jedi within the city, let alone a small temple. Those that did have a problem with them remained indoors, knowing a reckoning was coming. Even the bars and other entertainment venues were less populated that evening than they normally were. This did not go unnoticed, and among the city guard discussion was ongoing about why it was so quiet that evening.

Meanwhile, as Seris Caine Seris Caine , Amelie Berionne Amelie Berionne and Warslave Mara Warslave Mara ventured out with their force:

They encountered very few people on the street of the warehouse district. The few they saw were mostly workers heading home for the night. When they spotted the heavily armed and armored troops moving down the street, they quickly ran away, not wanting to be involved in whatever was going on. Some of them, however, had the thought to alert the local security forces. Not everyone knew what was going on, after all, and most of the security forces were in league with the enemy.

Several security personnel moved into the district after reporting to headquarters what they had learned, and posted up down the street from the moving column of soldiers. When they saw them, one of them stepped out, weapon drawn, and held up a hand.

"Halt! Identify yourselves, and lay down your weapons!"

The headquarters of Bakur RepulsorCorp was a rather nice-looking building, as Liin Terallo Liin Terallo would discover. Being a company that supplied repulsors to much of the galaxy netted them quite the profit and afforded them luxuries that others did not receive. It was large, and full of more employees than were probably necessary to run such a business from the corporate side, but at least it was luxurious and extremely hospitable to visitors, providing even a full-service bar for those waiting to be received.

At the front desk were two women, one of whom was in a conversation with a Duros about something, but when Liin entered the other was merely typing away on her workscreen, and would look up with a smile to greet her.

"Good evening! Welcome to Bakur RepulsorCorp," she said, standing and moving around her desk to approach the woman with a bow of her head. "My name is Amelia. How may I be of service?"

They moved with purpose and most people were quick to get out of their way, for which she was thankful. Even though she planned to kill that evening, she had no desire to kill more than was necessary. The Dominion would not be ruthless, slaughtering everyone who didn't agree with them. They would kill users of the Force who did not submit for reconditioning, and they would kill those who supported them, but they wouldn't kill everyone. And they wouldn't go so far as killing younglings, as some had in the past. There were lines that should not be crossed and killing children was one of them.

As they approached the next intersection several security personnel appeared, lightly armed, and one of them moved into their path of travel, held up a hand, and called for them to halt and put down their weapons.

"I'm afraid we won't be doing that,"
she said as she continued to march towards them. "Don't stand in our way or you'll be treated as hostiles."

She switched back to their internal comms as she continued to approach them.

"If they try and stop us, kill them all. No prisoners."

She continued forward, and there was definitely some hesitation on the part of the security officers, especially given how outgunned they were, but apparently some of them had a backbone, or at least the one that spoke did because he leveled his weapon at them and started firing, causing the others to open fire as well, though their blaster fire was largely harmless.

Objective: 2

This corporate building reminds me of NCBC's own headquarters. Luxury meets sophistication, and I can certainly respect that. The entire building seemed bustling with activity which in and of itself was a great sign.

I enter the lobby and quiatly approach near the front desk. Interrupting conversations is not my style nor is it respectful and so I politely await a break in their speech. However it was another that had spotted me first. I offer the lady a returned bow of my head, followed by a gracious smile. "Greetings Amelia. I am Director Terallo of the New Cov Biomolecule Company. May I speak with your Director or President of the company? I had hoped to schedule a meeting properly, but I fear that my communications must have been lost."

The thrill of renewed purpose drove a fire through Amelie. She yearned for the moment of action as they moved through the streets. The temperance of her elders was strange but respected. If there were younglings within the temple she would need to show the same face as her leaders. If it were up to her though, they would be put to the flame.

The invention of the inhibitor collars, something she had not seen before her meeting with Mara. Did add a new level of complexity to her feelings. Could the demons still be trusted with just a collar?

Mara was not necessarily trusted more so than watched, when they first met she seemed like an angel, gifted from above; but now she was a devil waiting for the forgiveness of death where she can be removed from pandemonium.

If need be, Amelie will try to convince Seris to have her oversee wherever they store these abominations. So she can always watch them.

Her thoughts were interrupted as guards made a move at the end of the intersection they were in. It was an upfront and brash approach but that is how Amelie liked it. She was not surprised to see opposition but ready to kill. They requested we drop our weapons, the fools. We are on a crusade. It is whilled through the galaxy to happen.

Seris tried to let them off with a warning but they did not listen, good. They raised their weapons and began firing. Without fear, with zeal and heart. Amelie ran towards her enemies, the man at the front taking the blunt of the attack. His minimal armor being swept into with flame of her rifle.

"BECOME ONE WITH ASH" Amelie yelled out into the desolate streets. Followed by a ravid cackle as bolter fire flew around her. the insanity of the moment fully shared for the first time among her compatriots. A young girl, engulfed in flame; laughing maniacally as her enemies burned. Un-caring of the remainder of the battle around her.

Mara remained entirely silent as they moved through the city streets. Following immediately behind Seris, and helping to cover her from any unseen threats. She had immense respect for Seris, being a leader who actually leads, but she was too important to lose. So Mara remained handy to keep her safe if need be, serving as a meat shield was one of her many purposes.

Mara had hardly spoken with Amelie since she had learned the truth. She had foolishly let herself grow hopeful that she might finally have a friend. She should have known. As much as it hurt to have such a hope snuffed, she knew that she had no real right to have such a hope in the first place.

But that didn’t make it hurt less.

She shook her head to clear it of these thoughts as they were met by local law enforcement. And they didn’t hesitate to open fire.

That made things simple. Immediately she opened fire herself. No threat to Seris could be allowed to stand. And her rifle spat it’s payload, spewing death at these fools who thought they could stand between them and their goal.

The woman that Liin Terallo Liin Terallo spoke to nodded and motioned for her to come closer to the desk. She went around and sat down to review the screen in front of her, clearly she was looking up whether or not the President of the company was available. Meeting with the head of another company was one of those things that could bump someone less important out of a meeting. It only took her a few short minutes to review the schedule before she looked back up to Liin.

"You're in luck," she said, smiling. "It appears some time just opened up in his schedule. If you take the lift to my left to the top floor, his secretary will meet you and take you to him."

She motioned to her left, Liin's right, to a bank of lifts. There was a security guard near one of them, but the woman waved a hand at him and he nodded, acknowledging that Liin had permission to use the lift.

"Have a nice day, Ms. Terallo."

The officer that Amelie Berionne Amelie Berionne rushed towards was so surprised all he could do was squeeze of several blaster shots that harmlessly flew around her. A few might have hit, but the armor that the Dominion warrior wore was tough and didn't show but a scorch mark as a result. He screamed as the flames tore into him, flailed, tried to run away, a burning mess of a flesh and cloth that quickly fell to the ground dead. The smell of burning flesh filled the air, though their armor filtered it out.

The others opened fire on the group, but the return fire from Warslave Mara Warslave Mara pinned the others down, one of her rounds taking a female officer through the face, splattering brain matter on the wall behind her. The others were so horrified by what they saw that they largely couldn't do anything effective. A few turned to try and escape. One just sat there staring at the burned corpse of the man who'd been in charge of them. Two others tried to shoot back at the group, but were quickly cut down.

One of them did manage to radio back to headquarters that they were being wiped out. This news would lead to a full mobilization, including armored vehicles, between them and the center of the city where their target lay. It was only going to get more difficult for them from there.

It was almost brutal how quickly Amelie pounced on that security officer. The way she'd burned him to a crisp was certainly going to leave a mark on his fellow security officers. That was good, but also bad. Someone among them must have radioed back by that point. They were probably going to have to do more fighting before they reached the city center. Not that it mattered. She'd counted on that being the case, which was why they had operatives infiltrated into almost all parts of the local governing body.

The others opened fire as well, quickly killing several of them. As she drew near, she noticed one using his comlink, pointed her rifle at him, and put two in his chest. He probably already made the call, but whatever. One less problem for later. In the meantime, she kept on walking, not saying anything about the fact that Amelie had gone so brutal with her own attack. These guys were defending people who were slaves to the Force wielders. Why should she care about them?

The others continued on as well, and she got a radio call from one of their operatives in the security force hq, which she chose to relay to the others.

"These guys let their counterparts know they were getting cut down. We'll have a larger force, including armored vehicles, ahead of us."

She didn't at all sound concerned about that fact. Mainly because she wasn't. Their crusade was worthy, and in the end they would win out. Plus they had advantages in their armor that would make taking down armored vehicles fairly easy when it came down to it. Chiefly, they had jump packs and the ability for controlled flight.

"Finish them off. Kill those two trying to run, too."

Amelie watched as the man melted to the floor. It had been a while since she had seen such sweet flames again. The smell of char filling the air. It was enough to enthrall her. It smelled like home. Than the dancing little flames dying out on the remnants of her enemies were always one of the last joys to behold before the ballet would be lost to her again. Her flamer would not reach the runners, something she had not really thought through before. She would need to reassess her choices once back in the Dominion armory.

As she looked upwards towards the rest of the carnage she did a quick check of the scenario that had played out while she was in her own little world. The battle was a quick one. If there was one characteristic Amelie enjoyed about Mara it was her proficiency as a warrior. She had quickly annihilated the face of one woman who appeared to be an officer. Taking out their command. Her new leader and almost motherly figure Seris had dispatched one holding a transmitter with two quick shots.

The way she commanded the Dominion and stood stalwart among any scenario reminded her of her father. All of this made Amelie so happy. Come what may, it will be wonderful. Skipping behind the crew in a happy glee she followed the other members towards their objective.
