I've been wanting to do this for a while now, a few years in fact, but I think I've finally got all the hard parts figured out. As of yesterday I will be starting and constructing a MechWarrior Forum-Based Role Play. I have to admit that some of it is heavily inspired by SWRP, as there will be a map with planets, regions of influence, territory wars and all the other fun kinds of activities we undergo here on this very site, as well as a small factory board for some of the non-canon creations that fall within reason (haven't decided on whole-original Mechs yet). There will also be an integrated shop system embedded into the forum, which will allow for credits to be managed autonomously and new weapons and items to be purchased. It is IN NO WAY LIMITED to just BattleMechs either! Ships, tanks, haulers, fighters, infantry; you name it, it will all be available and have resources for it. There will also be plenty of player guides to gloss over all of the basics for anyone not well-versed in the BattleTech universe. At some point in the near future I'll be buying the domain so that it just overall looks cleaner, as I've always been picky about that kind of thing -- also, ads suck! I'll have full control of the layout of the site/forum.
I need staff, a few graphics artists to work alongside, and of course, members and advertisement. Spread the word! Any help or contribution to this project would be greatly appreciated. I want to build a site that will be remembered for years to come and enjoyed for years as well.
