- The Plattenpanzer is enhanced with Sith alchemy bolstering its durability to better withstand heavy weapons fire that one sees in the battlefields of the far future.
- Underneath the Plattenpanzers metallic exterior is a coating of Thermal gel that both helps the armor to adhere to Ulrich's scales and better insulate Ulrich from both heat and impacts.
- Hard as nails (Very high kinetic resistance) : Thanks to the wonders of the darkside the plattenpanzer is well equipped to handle even the mightiest of blows.
- Burnproof (Very high heat resistance) :The integration of thermal gel beneath the armors exterior provides Ulrich with an extra layer of heat protection in case someone decides that they are the first comedic genius to realize the irony of setting a dragon on fire.
- Difficult to don : Given the draconic specifics of Ulrich's biology actually putting the plattenpanzer on is something that either takes somewhere in the vicinity of a few hours or requires the aid of a second (and usually third and forth) party. Suffice to say that its not something that can be put on at a moments notice.
- Light-Side Weakness : Unlike most Sith Ulrich couldn't really care less about the Jedi. His crusade against the Mandalorians means that he has completely ignored protections against light side powers such as electric judgement and force light and also neutral powers like shatterpoint with the possibility of each wrecking the enchantments that bind the armor and causing major damage to structural integrity.
A suit of gothic plate mail in the tradition of ancient Sith battle armor, the Plattenpanzer looks like something out of a museum. Specially built to fit Ulrich's Basiliskan physiology it is one of a kind. Were one to look back to the old republic though it could be mistaken as something that would adorn the menagerie dragons of yore. The Plattenpanzer does bear some modern trappings however in the form of transparisteel plates on the helmet to allow for protected vision and an underlayer of thermal gel to better absorb impacts and heat.
