Poll: Character Creation Checks

As a continuation of this thread, I would like to ask you all, the community, the completely hypothetical question above, and what the community feels is best for itself, rather than the arguments of a select few.

Disclaimer: This has no effect on the character creation process whatsoever! and is simply a show of the opinion of the majority for a better understanding of our community's wants and needs.

Oh, and please only vote once per person.

I say yes, but hear me out.

It could be good for new(ish?) people. Just think of all those "Opinion of my rpz" threads. Now, what if there had been ways for people to give their thoughts on creation of that character.

So, no rules or restraints, but a way for people to give their opinion on new characters before they are even put into the rp scene.

Except it would be handled by staff and no personal opinions would be allowed, because as with judgments of other things your opinions, my opinions, and their opinions are disregarded for an objective means of having non-reportable submissions.

The entire notion of using this as a means of helping someone new is redundant, as the only thing this would be used for is to ensure nothing crazy is included in a bio.

It only takes a cursory glance through the factory's thousands of submissions to see that you do not need to be a very good writer or highly literate to be able to get something approved.

We have character feedback threads for a reason, and we have comments in people's bios for a reason as well. If you want to help new people out, then follow the Character Creation board (top right of the site when you click on the Character Creation board) and leave helpful comments on people's bios or send them PMs.

I wasn't at all clear. I apologise. I meant no rules in a creative sense. So, any weird combination would be allowed as long as it was approved in the factory or wherever. Things like godmode characters would be checked, and thats not a hard thing for anyone to see. Say I made an alt that killed Vader, Luke, and Yoda. Makes no sense, both from the timeline and from a balancing sense. That would be the kind of thing that would get you reported, it would also be the kind of thing staff should look for.

I'm bloody tired, so if I'm still not making sense. I apologise. (again)

As with the factory, the answer is no. Personal opinions aren't supposed to be mixed with judgments.

I love polls, but there's no way Staff's position will change on this. It's pretty much the first and foremost cornerstone laid down in SWRP's foundation - and would take removing me as Board Owner (among other things) to implement.
