People just misunderstood the statement. The Kessel Run is 18 parsecs long. Han Solo discovered a shortcut that knocked 6 parsecs off the distance, bringing it to under 12. Pollux wants to do it in 11.

BIOGRAPHY:

Father: Harnick, a droid engineer


Mother: Shaff, a musician who also runs her own handmade jams and jellies business

Brothers: Engeddi (3 years older), Tromp (1 year older)

Sister: Verity (2 years younger)

Pollux is descended from the Djo family of Dathomir Witches. Born and raised on Balmorra, he knew he wanted to be a pilot from the age of four when his family went on vacation to Coruscant and he witnessed a display of X-Wing formation flying. He got his pilot's license when he was sixteen, and joined the Republic Navy at the age of 20.

When he learned about his ancestral connection to the Dathomir witches and their connection to the Force, he decided to take a brief leave from his Republic squadron to seek their training and guidance about the visions he's been experiencing.

Pollux was briefly a member of the Republic where he flew with Rogue Squadron, by left to join the Confederacy of Independent Systems to train and lead their starfighter squadron, the Phantoms.
