Corellia Digital has been producing datacards and datacrons since before Shiev Palpatine preached the good word of the New Order in the Senate. Pop! datacrons were practical datacrons that contained simple instruction in certain hobbies or even life hack type advice, contained within a form that resembled its narrator -- derived from pop culture of the time. The line had faded into obscurity, being traded as collector's items at trade shows, before the Gulag Plague shut the doors on the Corellia Digital company of that era. For Winter Fete 851ABY, the company made the decision to introduce a limited edition Pop! Datacron figure in order to test the market out.
#561, titled The Joy of Painting, features Naboo artist and painter, Palo Jemabie. Using archival footage from the Royal Academy of Naboo, Corellia Digital engineers have painstakingly re-created the likeness of Palo Jemabie as the 'gatekeeper' of this datacron. This Data-Palo takes students on a journey of discovery and enlightenment for budding artists new and old. While Data-Palo is loaded up to provide interactive instruction and advice, the included Porg mini-datacron is prepared to offer up a variety of still life images in order to give these artists access to a wide variety of subjects for their sketches, designs, and inspirations.
