Description: The Popper-class Tank Destroyer,a 18-ton tracked vehicle designed for the distinct purpose of destroying enemy tanks,as its class of vehicle implies. Armed with a long barreled,high-velocity 90mm rifled Electrically Charged Particle cannon,or a 88mm howitzer in the artillery,both being able to pierce over four centimeters of armor,making them perfect for destroying all types of armored vehicles. While this vehicle is great,it does not come without its downfalls,one of the more major ones being the fact that it is slow compared to other vehicles on the battlefield,making it easy to be targeted by bombers or enemy artillery for destruction. Another major disadvantage being the fact that the engine compartment,which is situated in the back,has a metal grate over it to better cool it,which means a direct hit to the grate will cause the engine to either melt down or explode,depending on the type of ammunition or the caliber of ammunition used. There is actually a story behind why Protectorate R&D named it the 'Popper'. During testing,the testers used captured Fringe tanks that were captured after the battle of Eridau as testing models,due to the fact that they were most likely going to be the type of tanks that the Popper was going to fight against. During the second day of range testing,a tester sighted the cannon up on the turret of a Fringe heavy tank,but the cannon did what none of the testers expected,it blew the tanks turret clean off,launching it a good few meters into the air and despositing it ten meters from the tanks main hull.
