STANDARD FEATURES
  • This has all of the standard systems, features and equipment you would expect in an installation of this type.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS
  • Huge capacity as space port - landing bay run around most of widest circumference and then 3 other rings of bays on to hemisphere of starbase. The top two are primarily for use by defense starfighters and support craft but the other bays can hold a variety if ships.
  • Tough station - as it was initially a military station, it is designed to take a beating with this armour plating and layers of different shields.
  • Security - One of the priorities when the starbase was taken over was security, both physical and digital. This means that users can rely on their personal and digital security whilst aboard.
WEAKNESSES
  • Slow hyperdrive - while not designed to be moved around and used as a weapon of war, the extremely slow hyperdrive prevents this as a tactic and makes relocating the starbase very time consuming.
  • State of disrepair - the starbase has not been returned to its former glory and whilst massive efforts have been made on repairs, prioritising shields, life support and electronic systems other systems are unreliable. Artificial gravity has a tendency to play up and only approximately two thirds of the gun emplacements are ever considered operational at one time.
  • A den of thieves - while personal security is important to the administrators, it is a big station filled with many undesirable elements of galactic society, if someone truly wants to harm you there are many ways for them to do so.
  • Easy target - if ever engaged in combat, it is an easy target due to its massive bulk, and low Maneuverability, which is average, but only average for a 5km starbase.
  • Fairly low armament - the numbers are seem reasonable, but spread around the full 360° of the 5km diameter station they are spread thinly. Enough to ward off light patrols and keep the pirates honest, but nothing compared to a proper military installation.
DESCRIPTION
When Cass found this station it was a drifting wreck, having travelled for hundreds of years at sublight in deep space. It was battered, low in power and could quite rightfully have been torn apart for salvage, but Cass in her wisdom saw otherwise. She turned it into a hidden base of operations, it was hard to track down for pirate hunters and it continued to hurtle through space, its burnt out engines leaving no way of arresting its momentum.

In the four years since she found it, she has made incremental upgrades and repairs, 2 years ago she managed to fix the engines and take control over its position in space. Its initial position was not far from the Tortuga station. It was this repair that allowed her to finally invite investors in to begin setting up businesses and fund more expensive upgrades, such as bringing some of the weaponry back online, and installing several pieces of new hardware sourced from several suppliers. Cass has had to give up large shares of ownership but she could never run such a large station herself. She still retains a controlling percentage but other investors such as the Kraken Coalition and Hutt Republic now own shares and help shape the future of the station.

Cass wants this station as a neutral space where criminal empires can do business securely, similar to the Tortuga Station she is now fairly familiar with. The station is a long way from fully operational but is now home permanently or temporarily to thousands of different individuals from all over the station.

I really like this space station! However:
  • You forgot to link the station's source, please do this.
  • Please put an N/A into the Pirmary Source's line.
  • Please fill in the Manufacturer and Model fields.
  • Your every weapon is heavy or medium, I feel this is more an average or high level than a low. You have weapons in every 30 metres, and not light weapons, but powerful ones. So I recommnend to change the rating or modify the weapon types.
