Possible Mission! READ! VOTE!

Good Evening Ms Jast. My name is Stephanie Ziegler, I am writing to you as a representative of a number of scientific communities on Naboo and in other worlds. With the help of The Unity Foundation they have supplied funding for an exciting exploration mission!

A little over a year ago, a previously undocumented planet was discovered in the unknown regions, shrouded by a planetary nebula. Our early observations of the planet showed it to be a very promising world for a new colony, and 6 months ago a small fleet of ships set out to make that a reality, The planet is known as Nycteria, named so for its dark ice.

However, one month ago we lost contact with the base on Nycteria, and we've been unable to get through to the base. This is likely a communication problem.
Now we come to my reason for writing to you. To properly assess the situation our ship The Cloudburst I will be sent. I assure you, the ship is a technological marvel, and perfectly suited to this kind of planetary analysis, but it is entirely unarmed.

Your skills and the skills of your subordinates have raised the attention of my superiors, and they're willing to ignore your- shall we say, tricky relationship with the law for the duration of the mission. Our offer to you is the opportunity to pick a small group to join the ship's security force for the mission. This job is entirely above board, you wont get in any more trouble, and you'll be paid handsomely.

(IC) Could be a good job, chances are the base is fine, we do a quick recon and head back for the credits. Otherwise it is probably pirates, which we can more than handle. So it is a yes from me.

(OOC) This was planet was submitted to the dead planet contest by Kirie. It could be a pretty interesting RP, but make sure you know what you are getting into, because the planet looks hazardous.

I love the idea. I also offer up mine after it gets approved. Its perfect for us too, a cornucopia of wealth! Ore, gems, priceless artifacts, hundreds of banks stuffed with credits etcetera.
