Power armors.

Say I wanted to make a power armor that granted the user enhanced strength and protection, much like a sc2 marines armor. Nothing uber awesome with cloaking devices, just basic servos and machinery that makes the suit like an external power skeleton. What's the requirements?

Is it most def a long dev thread or no?

Is this allowed or no?
How would I do this?

My imagination is a durable suit that can stop some munitions like small arms fire, and give the user enhanced strength. If I wanted to get fancy maybe add some repulsorshifts for ability to jump long distance or drop down far distance, but basically a hardy power armor that protects the user and makes them strong as hell.

I'd say ask staff. I never tried to add it, so I'm not sure. Probably for the stealth tech, since all stealth tech needs a dev thread.

Considering you're wanting power armor and not a Deathstar, anything is possible, with a dev thread of course.

Since you're going to be using Crushgaunt technology, acquiring the beskar to do so would require a development thread anyways. As for how to go about doing the thread? That's entirely up to your imagination. As long as it makes sense, I (and most of the other FJs) will be cool with it.

Also what if I wanted to add this canon fibre or this to make it more stealthy. Is that doable or is that a dev thread?
Very doable, but it'll require a development thread since that'll be a pretty nice piece of technology right there. That's like invisibility plus all the sensor dampening pizzazz. Wouldn't be a long dev thread, though, maybe 10-15 posts.

If you're thinking of Gears of War type stuff, you probably won't need to dev it. Iron Man type stuff usually needs one. And most things that are really indestructible need one, for sure.
