~*Late in the Day*~
I held no fear anymore for the world and the dangers that it contained, some would call that foolish, I called it natural progression. One step after another took me deeper into the Arceneau Compound and the woman I was going to meet in a few minutes, it came as a surprise to me that I didn't actually care if I would part with it or not, in a different lifetime I was very much a stuck-up for pretty and shiny things. These days though... well it wasn't relevant for now.
Never really liked Tatooine, after every visit I had to wash myself, damn sand getting virtually everywhere.
Sometimes though.
You gotta do what you gotta do.
I had a small retinue with me, no actual soldiers though, that would be silly. If any of Arceneau's men could pose a real threat to me no merc would change that fact; probably would only get in my way.
The receptionist looked from her screen at the sound of the new visitors, her eyes widened themselves noticeably as they settled themselves onto my own persona. Was only a second though before she recollected herself, gave a small embarrassed cough and then spoke to me.
'Mister Ovmar, what can I do for you today?'
'I have a meeting, dear. Should be due in a minute or two.'
'I see. I will see if Miss. Arceneau is ready for you then.'
'Of course, my Lady. I will just sit here and wait.'

It wasn't long before a lissome Rutian Twi'lek came to escort [member="Jared Ovmar"] into Danger's office. Big violet eyes and a winning smile, Quroa was a new addition to the Guild House. She spent her time mainly in administrative work, but by the careful and sensual manner she would walk, suggested she had higher tier training.

"Miz. Arceneau is expecting you, Lord Ovmar," came Quroa's coo, her pale blue hand entering the security code to the turbo lift that would allow them to ascend to the third level. From there, her sultry grace would lead the man up the lift, the doors opening into a twin wide double doors flanked by large Herglic Guards.

A sight to see, but one required. "Come, this way." she would say, as the wide double doors slid open to reveal the long vast room of Danger Arceneau's main headquarters office. Here all manner of intricacies native to Tatooine would be on display. A Krayt Dragon skull with five large pearls of exquisite perfection, a Tuskan Raider armor set, and her vast blaster collection was just a small part of the design.

At the far corner, the titan maned queen of trade would give a welcoming smile, her familiar voluptuous form sliding up to stand and walk round her desk.

"Well well... Lord Ovmar... what pleasant surprise," she'd say, extending her hand to him in greeting.

Danger’s office was a statement of some kind, at least that’s what I took from it, that kind of statement which told you that this wasn’t a woman to be frekked with. She ain’t got any armies to command, no nations to rule and yet she was probably one of the most powerful individuals in the Galaxy right about now.

Without even having the Force… that said something about Arceneau, and I had to admit that I respected the woman. ‘Specially after what had happened on Coruscant.

I gently took her hand in my own and left the impression of a kiss on the back of her hand., before casually releasing it again and taking a step back.

‘A sight for sore eyes you are, miz Arceneau. You are well I hope?’

A throaty chuckle would come bubbling from her mouth, "And you are still quite the charmer, Lord Ovmar," she'd say, feeling the press of his warm lips and the light scruff of his beard as he kissed her hand.

Her free hand would gesture for him to have a seat, "So... what do I owe this pleasure?" she'd say in her familiar sultry tone. Her hand would slip from his and she would make her way over to the bar.

"What's your poison."

There was a time appletinis had been the thing I drank, mostly because no one took a man serious who drank that stuff and that had been the entire point, when someone doesn’t take you serious you are at an advantage. They won’t expect you to be capable, ruthless or anything else except a sissy… this didn’t work anymore though.

With the rep I had built up for myself, men no longer made snidey remarks or think me a dandy. So there was no use anymore in pretending, I smiled and then replied in kind.

‘Whiskey perhaps, seems like a good time for that.’

There were multiple reasons why I was here, but let’s go with the most simple one.

‘Remember the Bazar you hosted all that time ago, where we exchanged… favors?’

A lazy grin lightened up my lips as I spoke those particular words.

[member="Jared Ovmar"]

"Neat or on ice?" she'd ask as an auburn brow would arch at his direction. There then came a purse of her full lips, as if reminiscing the minutia of the details of that particular bargin.

"Mmm... that I do Lord Ovmar," she took two clean glasses and set them in front of her. Her fingers would wrap round the decanter and pour herself a glass neat.

"Anxious to pay the piper?" she'd ask in a teasing tone. "Don't worry.... I reckon I don't bite... that hard."

The Admiralty
'...and water it down? For shame, my Lady. Neat will do just fine.' I replied with a teasing tone in kind, truth to be told I wasn't here for that, I was a man of my word in my own way. Meaning that she could take all the time she needed to figure out what exactly she would ask for me, the prize had been worth it... even though I hadn't inned it just yet.

'Careful, miss. You might just make me blush.' Taking the glass with a short nod, I sipped from it carefully and gave her one of my grins. ' Exquisite, my thanks. '

Then coming down to business, or at least resembling it a bit. 'We have known each other for a while now, Danger. You saved me skinny behind on Coruscant and your girls nursed me back to health, I ain't a man who takes things like that lightly... and so here I am.. a man who is now thrice in your debt.'

Danger gave [member="Jared Ovmar"] a knowing smile, a devilish twinkle gleaming within her green eyes. "Mistah Ovmar, you? Blush?" the sound of liquid gold hitting a low ball glass quietly resonated within the room. She set the decanter down upon the bar.

Her saucy cantor would bring her over to him, two glasses in hand. One hand then extended his drink out to him, "Now that would be a sight for sore eyes." she'd say in teasing, bringing her drink up to take a sip of the fiery liquid.

At his words, she'd give a slight incline of her head, as if suggesting well that is what it is. "Reckon just doing what had to be done. A lady doesn't forget her own debts." she'd say aloud, well aware that it was his body that had protected her back then.

I simply gave her one more of my grins and then listened to what she had to say. It was true that he had saved her... finely shaped behind beforehand, yet not everyone would have done what she had done, gone as far as she had. This was a thing that had to be acknowledged as far as I was concerned. Never be petty with your gifts; it was the easiest way to lose all goodwill.

'Yet... I find myself obliged to present you a... gift of sorts. During the Bazaar where we exchanged future... favors, there was an auction of ships. One of them was highly sought after, yet I managed to let it slip by me by an undesirable. Suffice to say that I corrected this mistake, with some complications granted.'

A protocol standing in the corner of the room walked over, almost as if invisibly prompted by something as vulgar as the Force, it presented me with a datapad, which I in turn offered to Danger.

It showed the image of a particular ship.

[member="Jared Ovmar"]

Well there were few ways to make Danger speechless. Perhaps this was one of them. Her eyes went wide as if in shock, full lips perking into a full 'o' of surprise.

She would blink a couple of times, only to turn her head over and get a full look at Jared's rugged features. Oh he was a handsome devil alright, but what was he playing it. One didn't get into her position without being a little be wary.

"For me?" came her honeyed drawl, a hint of surprise and pleasure in her voice. It appeared she didn't quite know what to say. "I... well... reckon this be one of the few times you managed to get a Nexu to catch my tongue." she'd say with a small laugh, her gaze trailing over to the holographic ship image.

"...Really really?" she'd ask in teasing.

[member="Danger Arceneau"]

‘ Really, really. ‘

I wasn’t entirely sure if her surprise and pleasure was genuine, or merely her acting out the coyness which made most men wild in their heads for her, perhaps it was a little of both. You never really knew with Danger which, if you asked me; was part of the entire charm.

You just gotta love the game I think.

‘ Course the Fringe-tech capital weaponry currently installed in the ship will have to be replaced, but I have some contacts which will allow you to install something similar for a bargain… guess we can let one Sekairo-class http://starwarsrp.net/topic/20878-sekairo-class-stealth-transport/slip through, it’s also on the datapad. ‘

I took another sip from my drink and waited for her response.

[member="Jared Ovmar"]

She took the datapad in her hand, the shock still apparent on her face. Words left her, and one would wonder at perhaps that comedic sight.

Finally, her head rose, green eyes latching onto Jared's own. "Why?" she would ask him, curiosity in her voice. Oh gifts to her person were not a novelty, it was just the impressive nature of the gift in itself that had her bemused.

I shrugged and flashed her another one of my grins.

Some men offer flowers, others… figure those are a tad out of fashion.

Didn’t mention that her cabin would have a single rose on the bed - irrelevant to the current discussion.

Just a way to say thank you, miss. Arceneau.

Lesser men would have asked if she was pleased with her gift, to crave for some measure of gratitude or the like, I wasn’t one of those men. Instead I took a sip from my drink and waited.

[member="Jared Ovmar"]

Seconds would tick on by as the woman would study Jared quietly. What manner of thoughts would mull within the depths of her mind would be unknown; the mind of a woman surely was a Pandora's box.

It wasn't long, however, before she quietly took a step closer. The light spicy scent of her trademark perfume would tickle the senses, just as she gracefully went leaning forward. The brush of lips at the corner of his mouth would be light, delicate, warm. It would linger for only a few seconds, before she would pull back with a soft smile.

Her hand would find his cheek, feeling the stubble of growth before her thumb would gently wipe away any remnants of her lipstick from his face.

"Thank you, Jared." She said softly, warmly.

Had it been possible his grin would have turned even wider at the manner of thanks she just gave him. Some men would have wanted more, but Ovmar was pleased - for now at least.

The Sith Lord gave her a wink and a nod as a matter of accepting the thanks with grace and then spoke.

I won’t keep you from your work any longer, Danger.’ he said, while rising up from his chair and brushing past her. ‘Perhaps dinner when you have more time?

Another smile came with the words, such a happy Sith Lord.

[member="Jared Ovmar"]

Danger would match his smile with her own. "That sounds like a splendid idea." she told him, drawing her hand away from his cheek to let it fall on her side.

She took a step back, giving a nod. "The toils of this business... ones work is never done." her eyes would take on a sheen of mischievousness. "We all wear many hats and there is little time to dedicate it to all."
