Power, power everywhere, but not a watt to spare [Popo]

To say that Corellian Engineering had suffered a blow to business would have been a massive understatement; their headquarters, primary develop center, primary shipyards, half the board of directors, and hundreds of brilliant minds had been obliterated in an instant. The facilities on Druckenwell were well developed as they were necessary to meet the constant demand for Protectorate warships. While the Protectorate no longer oversaw the planet those sales were still taking place, albeit at a reduced rate. This proved very beneficial as it allowed the corporation to shift production to those empty yards to continue producing current product lines.

Their facilities on Etti IV were considerably less robust. Their small shipyard there was primarily tasked with handling orders for the Sanctum Keeper-class cruiser. Some freighters were produced there, but Druckenwell supported the majority of the current production. It was impossible for production to continue on the scale that it had before, as not even Druckenwell had fully recovered from its own disaster years prior. Corellia had had millenia to develop and refine their orbital shipyards

While donations had been very generous, and sympathetic purchases helped keep the company afloat, a bold tactic was necessary if the company was going to be re-expanding and recovering properly from the loss. Some would argue that starting small again would be the way to go, but that was not the Corellian way. They needed to be aggressive with their design and marketing. Innovation was all that would save them, would be all that guaranteed them a future in the galaxy.

So, as the Chief Innovations Officer, it continued to be Ayden's duty to come up with new project ideas. Innovating was already a monumental task in the face of technological stagnation millenia old. The problem was compounded with the loss of so much of the development assets. Even if they could come up with an aggressive, new design to bring the credits rolling in (and they could), their problem was how to realize such a design. Early on, Ayden came to the conclusion that they would not be able to put together the necessary parts for a ship on their own. However, they could actually save credits if they sought licenses from other corporations for limited rights for certain pieces of technology.

That was what brought Ayden to the Bajic Sector. First on his list of corporations to reach out to was the Tenloss Corporation. The two companies had already cooperated on a number of product lines for the Republic, which had since been transferred to the open market. They were the most likely to be accommodating and agree to work with Corellian Engineering on another project. He had sent a formal request to the main Tenloss headquarters before arriving in orbit. He hoped that he would not have to wait too long before he got a response for a meeting location. Tenloss was just the first on a long list of companies to talk to. The sooner he could conclude business here, the sooner he could move on to another.
