The Nebulan Frigate was perhaps one of the most iconic warships in service the Rebel Alliance, New Republic and later the Galactic Alliance. Although the ship was comparably weaker than most other vessesl that either accompanied or fought against it.
However, the ship served as something more than just a target. It was a symbol of hope and later legitimacy in both the Alliance and Republic. As such, the Sith Empire remered this symbol and under the guidance of Admiral Thaelius began work on a new, and improved version of the warship. And within a few months of development, the Pradeux Class Corvette was born.
Although the Pradeux and Nebulan share a similar structure, the Pradeux Class was substantially smaller and given a true purpose: Hunt Down and Destroy Enemy Starfighters. During the first test of the HIMS Pradeux, named in honor of the founder of modern navies, the warship was able to deploy it's sensor systems and anti-fighter systems to great effect.
This sucesss was seen as a major victory by the SIHC (Sith-Imperial High Command) because of the war with the Galactic Alliance and the New Imperial Order, who both used great quanties of fighters
