Praesidium Corporation is one of the five biggest enterprises of Geminidae, charged with the invention and production of Geminian armament which is renowned for its defensive assets (armor, shields, surveillance). In its later years, it branched out its operations to vehicle construction and weapons, the latter being a minor operation that is usually limited to providing for the planet's army or taken on by request. As is the case with all companies native to the isolationist planet, all its large-scale transactions must be state-approved.
Praesidium Corporation came to be shortly after the first incursions of Geminian explorers into the galaxy. Geminians had been blessed with a mostly peaceful society throughout their history, and the few times they had seen war the wounds inflicted run so deep they tried to upkeep the peace through any other means before resorting to violence. It goes without saying that upon witnessing the endless cycle of chaos and short-lived peace that most planets knew, paranoia overtook them. Geminidae became isolationist and being prepared for a potential attack was then one of their main priorities: PraeCorp was created from the unified efforts of all major geminian cities under the order of the Sovereign.
