The House Mecetti Nationalized Industries completes their offerings in the Point-Defense blaster market with the PRBC-100, their lightest of three blaster-cannon point-defense systems. Named for a spine-covered rodent found on Javis, the Spinerunner is an economical, effective, and reliable point-defense weapon.
The PRBC-100 is a complete divergence from the 200 and 300 models. Rather than figure out how to shrink these other designs to a convenient vehicle size, House Mecetti decided to work from existing tech. They acquired a vast cache of antique war-surplus J-10 dual blaster cannons, a notoriously unreliable man-portable field weapon once used by CIS forces during the Clone Wars centuries ago. Due to the age, poor reliability, and wide availability of the weapons, they were available for a tiny fraction of their original price.
House Mecetti refurbished, modified, and incorporated the weapons into a pop-up turret. In order to solve the reliability issues, they reduced the power output of the blaster cannons to match that of a blaster rifle. At this lesser power level, the weapons were perfectly reliable and could be run nearly continuously at an extremely high rate of fire. High-speed stepper servos allow quick lift, traversal, and angle adjustment of the dual blasters to cover 360 degrees horizontally, with 15 degree declination and 50 degree inclination. The turret can be embedded in a housing that is only 1 meter deep, making it ideal for installation in vehicles such as speeder vans, walkers, and troop transports.
Because of the time it takes to remanufacture and refit old J-10 blasters for function in the turret, production is Limited. So don't wait, get yours today!
