Prefix Ideas for Factory

[Tefka]

As a person who spends an absurd time upon his own submissions, I'm left wondering if we should provide a system of rewarding quality. Please keep in mind that this system is purely aesthetic and has no bearing on the actual stats of the item, I just want to probe your thoughts about it FJs/Staff.

We create unique prefixes such as the following:

Normal
Unique
Epic
Legendary

The FJ assigns this based on how he/she feels about the quality of the submission. We could provide more qualifications for how to earn each.

I like it, but the issue is it'd only work with non-faction items. Eg personal or simply "approved" items, or it'd interfere with the system you've/we've got going to organize and find Major Faction things.

I think it's a good idea in principle. Some submissions are obviously amazing while others are technically approval-able but are atrocious in quality.

Do you feel that adding such a system may provoke feelings of jealousy, claims of favoritism, division, etc?

I think it's just another thing for people to work towards. People like the competition numbers bring, post and likes etc. Just encourages people to improve

I wouldn't care, frankly. Unless it was being abused from our end.

Of course it will. People are jealous beings, although this may also prove to be a motivator for members to step up in quality over quantity when it comes to subs.

To be fair to Popo, he and Jon belted out a ridiculously high quality 60+ iambic quatrameter rhyming thread for songsteel. If I was gonna slap a Legendary tag on anything, thse swords would probably be near the top.
