Pressing the Ol' Reset Button (Looking for Sorcerer/Alchemist)

Some of you might know my character (Lord Ajihad, duh), and some of you may not. Those of you who do know him probably think of him as a skilled Sith assassin. So do I, or so I thought.

Throughout my time writing him, I've always passively wrote him as more of a sorcerer. I don't mean to, it's just something that feels natural with him. I've always tried to pass him off as an assassin's creed character, but I don't think that's what he's meant to be.

Most of the time in combat he uses the force. And when he isn't using the force, he is in lightsaber combat passively using the force to feed off of his opponent's emotions with Vaapad. Ajihad doesn't even know force stealth, he just uses active camo and AOTS.

It's apparent to me now I have to change him. I want to make him into a more Sith Emperor-type character. He has the cunning and force ability for it, just not the story.

So this is what I want to do. An unknown catalyst will totally corrupt Ajihad. Right now, he's really just a True Neutral. After this, he'd be Lawful to Chaotic Evil. Even his force aura would change, turning into something darker and more archaic in origin. He'll go on a pilgrimage, leaving the One Sith and going off to train with others under the guise of an apprentice. He would have the power of a Lord still, but would only wield to powers of an acolyte. His identity would be unknown (he's a shapeshifter), and he would try to live a simple life.

I would like to have him be apprenticed to a Sorcerer/Alchemist, preferably one I have had little to no RP with in the past. He'd be a subservient underling, though would eventually run off in the end after a lot of master/apprentice interaction and training :)

My end goal is for him to shed his more stealth and melee oriented side in turn for more emphasis on alchemy and sorcery, all while warping his personality into something else entirely.

Would any of you alchemists or sorcerers out there be willing to do do something like this?

One question,

Why would you do this when you are a "known" Sith assassin?

You can be an assassin without having to learn a single stealth skill. Hell, stealthy assassins in the real world in some cases don't even use stealth tech because they use their skills of hiding to simple beat people.

I am part of the Sith assassins, and yet I am considered a Sorcerer like player.

Saera Willamina Savan

~+--- Skaidra ---+~ Beskarsmith, Alchemist
It's okay. Saera was never intended to be an alchemist, or a pacifist, or an admiral with any kind of naval experience.

I can do it but he shouldn't think the life of an alchemist to be one of glamour and thrill; expect lots of carrying heavy materials around, beating hot pieces of metal to a wafer, and other laborious tasks.

Fair foreword: Saera's gonna know if he's lying about just about anything involving telling a lie. If you choose me, do so knowing she will know he is not all he says he is.

It's just not the direction I want to go in with this character anymore.

I'm not doing this because I feel that he's not good at what he does, just doesn't feel like it's what he's meant to be anymore.

[member="Lord Ajihad"], Hard resets are fine. Many people have done them. But in all honesty, for your character? I would stick with what you have done so far, and just naturally learn how to use abilities through threads, that you do as a solothread, or as a training thread.

Do the reset later and then build him from the ground up again with whatever abilities you want then.

Actually Ajihad knows a lot of magic already (check his bio). I'm still looking to teach him a few things, but I'm mainly looking to get development that will mold him into a new person.

I'm actually doing something very similar. I've always written melee combat based characters and I'm switching over to the a sorcerer/alchemy type. Instead of resetting your character, have you consider writing a new one altogether?

I have indeed!

However, there's just so much more I want to do with Ajihad. He sort of already has a master plan set in motion, and I would really like that to transfer over to his new personality.

Plus, it's not really as much about as what I want to write as much as it is what I feel is the right character type for him ;)

Woot!

Like I said before, this wouldn't be a relationship where I'm mainly trying to teach Ajihad new abilities. It's more for character development and Sith Philosophy. Not saying I don't want to do any training, just that I don't want that to be central to their relationship.

I'd even be willing to revisit the Battlelord idea again if that's something you're passionate about, just so as long as we lay down some ground rules.
