PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Manufacturer: Visanj T’shkali
Affiliation: Closed-Market
Model: Prestidigitator Custom Modification
Modularity: Yes; can be configured into a variety of ship types, sizes, and classes.
Production: Semi-Unique
Material(s): Reflec, Reinforced Stygian-Triprismatic Polymer Duraplast, Insulfoam
SPECIAL FEATURES:
Generally speaking, all smuggling compartments are pretty much the same concept: A covert hiding place seamlessly-fitted into a ship to move contraband without being discovered. Where the Prestidigitator is special is in the materials used. Customs and security forces have become much better applying sensor scans to detect smuggling compartments, and so the need to create a new kind of compartment to avoid these scans arose.
Constructed with Stygian-Triprismatic Duraplast, reinforced against EMP/ion, then lined with insulfoam and reflec, Prestidigitator compartments are very hard to detect. Absorbing and warping light, they are highly resistant to laser scanners, and virtually undetectable by most handheld scanner systems. The insulfoam ensures that detection by heart signatures of the contents is not possible either. In fact, short of using penetrating radar scanners, which are generally expensive and bulky, making them unpopular with security forces and thus not commonly used in most spaceports, there isn’t too much else that will find these compartments.
Custom-made, the compartments blend into the rest of the ship perfectly and can be configured to fit into most starship designs, able to conceal anything from smaller compartments to hide a few bars of aurodium to large compartments used for smuggling humanoids.

Production: Semi-Unique
Material(s): Reflec, Reinforced Stygian-Triprismatic Polymer Duraplast, Insulfoam
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Custom-designed smuggling compartments use a combination of stealth materials and insulation to prevent detection scans of their contents or their general discovery.
- Can be configured to fit into most any ship size, type, and design.
- Virtually impossible to detect using commonly-used sensor sweeps and handheld scanners.
- Able to conceal contents from temperature scans and their airtight design prevents detection by olfactory means or similar sensors.
- Can be detected using large penetrating radar scanners.
- Airtight nature of the design means that humanoids and other living beings being smuggled inside them will need to have breathing apparatus or else can only hide inside for brief time periods before asphyxiation begins to set in.
