DESCRIPTION
Pri-Andylan Propulsion Systems is a Duro-based multisystem starship construction and development conglomerate with a focus on the civilian sector. Its primary shipyards are in the Duros-system, with secondary ones primarily focused on individual ship system creation spread throughout the Outer Rim.

With an oversaturation of military vehicles entering the market during the recent years of galactic history, Pri-APS has managed to stake a claim on an appreciable share of the civilian market for interstellar transportation. Developing schematics and realising the construction of many different freighters, luxury liners, personal starships, and cargo hauliers, it has established itself as an affordable high-quality alternative dedicated to customer satisfaction while prioritising the average consumer over big-shot military contractors.

It owes this consumer-centric company philosophy to its most recent director, Ced Vanseim, whose business model focused on building a lasting satisfied customer base stood in direct contrast to the history of opportunistic cut-throat business that the company name had been known for prior to the Gulag plague. Celebrated as an authentic philanthropist celebrity on Duro, he steered the successor to the first Pri-Andylan Propulsion Systems to its current size with his high-risk high-reward business ventures.


RATIONALE
While still not fully restored to its natural beauty, Duro also lacked much of the infrastructure and industry that had defined its previous influence on the galactic stage prior to the Yuuzhan Vong wars. As a well-off individual, Ced invested heavily in the reconstruction of Duro’s economy by founding Pri-Andylan Propulsion Systems as a construction company initially, creating stable employment for many of Duro's unemployed citizens.

Eventually, during the reconstruction efforts of Duro's cities were underway, Ced looked to more distant stars for his next project. Rebranding his company to Pri-Andylan Propulsion Systems, a name that, despite its connection to the tyrannical Galactic Empire, had remained a greatly respected symbol of Duros prosperity amongst the stars. With its new identity, the company expanded into the construction of orbital shipyards over Duro, recreating many of the stations lost during the conflict with the Yuuzhan Vong and after the advent of the Gulag plague.

Once Duro had returned to its previous economic level of power, Pri-Andylan Propulsion Systems withdrew from the construction of infrastructure and transitioned into the shipbuilding market, keeping a vast majority of its workers employed further, something that Ced had placed great value on.

Most recently Ced Vanseim has taken a backseat to a new head of Pri-APS, returning to his roots in the engineering departments with special administrative rights and powers over executive decisions reserved as the company's original founder. The new owner, a Duros going by the name of Mara Nao, has taken the position as CEO and begun to expand into new markets and territories with the company, intent on bringing new riches to Duro.
