+ Engagement Capable + Whether long range, or close quarters, this vessel has a spread of weaponry capable of engaging targets at any variety of distance. Paired with the ability to either repulse or hold targets with the two beam emitters, this makes the vessel quite capable on patrol or picket duty.
+ Crack the Shell + With a hefty defensive system, both external and internal, the vessel is more than capable of enduring some punishment.
+ Veritable Turret Bases + A staple of the Priddy designs, her custom weapons and bases provide these vessels with exceptional capabilities.
- Turns like a Cargo Freighter - The turning capabilities of this vessel are lackluster without engaging Agility mode. Even still, it won't get the edge over smaller starships in a turning battle.
- My Best Side - The weapon spread for the Bellicose follows the typical design of Star Destroyers, in that the forward firing angle provides the most amount of guns on target. The flanks of each side receives lighter incoming fire, while the rear is almost completely safe from any attack the Bellicose could manage.
- No Support - Designed as a both Brawler, and Long Range Support, the vessel lacks a dedicated starfighter squadron of its own. And while it's defensive capabilities are remarkable, a Swarm of dedicated pilots could lead to the demise of a Bellicose.
Created as an alternative to larger star destroyers, the design began as a request from the Emberlene system to provide them with a suitably sized vessel to patrol and maintain peace within their sector. The solution and design originating from the tried and true delta shaped hulls of star destroyers brought down to a much more manageable size to both field and supply.
Stuffing as much technology within the hull of a trimmed down Imperial II Class Frigate style schematic, the vessel proves by and by highly capable as a Command vessel or a front line brawler. A drawback being that it is not incredibly capable of defending its rear or flanks. The solution was to supplement the vessel with smaller, more agile ships to rather than take away from its already present capabilities. Emberlene was pleased with the design, and allowed PGEM to sell it outside of their system.
