- Everything and the Kitchen Sink + This upgrade to weapon emplacements contains a hefty number of advanced systems through automation, cooling systems, even ordnance systems.
- Dedicated Shielding + With it's own shielding systems in place, the turret base doubles down on protection.
- Security + With possible automation comes the chance for ECM attacks. The system, while internal, has a number of security systems to assist in repelling any ECM attacks.
- Power Heavy - While this upgrade does indeed do a large amount of heavy lifting, it is also power hungry and limits it's deployment to ships 100 meters and up.
- Ion or Deflector Shield - The system is not capable of running both shielding systems at once.
- Ion/EMP - A solid hit from either has a chance of rendering the entire turret base useless, and knockout the associated weapon system attached to it if the ion shield system is not engaged.
- Not Universally Universal - The turret base does not work with anything other than Priddy Products as a failsafe, otherwise the system is a substantial paperweight.
While not actually needed, the system creation was something of a spitball idea to strengthen the weapon developments that Niki had in mind. Often seeing weapon systems as a standalone, she had the idea to create a turret system that supplemented the weapon in question without having to over engineer the weapon. Rather than create intrinsic weapon components that required high-end time consuming maintenance, the systems could be placed inside their own housing to facilitate focused repairs and maintenance without having to tear into the weapon itself.
The turret system scales with the weapon being mounted and provides an integral boost to the weapons efficacy when linked. All of the Priddy weapons are link compatible, though nothing outside of her catalog is, and make the upgrades within the units pointless. Even with this, the focus on advancement was something she could not ignore. Thus the creation of the Veritable Turret System to house the intricate systems in question.
