Tennacus watched the sun go down for the seventh time on Kinoss. The Viper Probe Droid had been out exploring since dawn, scouring the alien planet vigorously for any signs of life around them. Tennacus had vaulted himself across the planet, too, only in the guise of a Force Wraith while he sat placidly before the dying flames of a campfire deep in the valleys. Tennacus didn't believe in getting caught by anyone he didn't want to find him; recent mistakes had cautioned him to stay on guard. He thought that as a wraith he might find something that was allured to his use of the Force. Something that might reach out to him, seeing that he was at one with it as they were.
But nothing. The Viper Probe returned to the campsite, too, whining and whirling in dissatisfaction. Tennacus wasn't disappointed in the droid, in any case; it was designed to do what it was made to do, so if it couldn't accomplish a task it was down to its maker to hold the blame. Right now, Tennacus was the only one who could account for the mistake. He'd modified it for his own purposes, and it had failed. Perfection's a marathon, not a sprint, Tennacus thought. Although Kinoss was beginning to feel a little tedious at this point.
See, Tennacus was searching for something — more like someone. Someone that credits couldn't seem to buy. Someone who perhaps didn't want to easily be found. It made sense to value such discretion; if Tennacus was right in what his intuition told him, this person didn't want to be grossly famous. Infamous, perhaps, if they were affiliated in the Dark Side as he had come to presume.
Despite valuing his own discretion, Tennacus didn't hide his affiliation to the Dark Side. Instead he closed his eyes on that now darkened world, and he let the Force exude from him as if it were a breath. The world went quiet around him, only his breath rasping through the ventilator on the mask plated around his mouth. Then the sounds muffled as he delved into the Force, hoping to make himself more communicative.
