STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Garec has spent more than half his life at the head of a Star Destroyer - if he knows nothing else, he knows space and he knows combat. He is a master strategist and tactician, heralded in his youth as a true military genius for his unmatched sim. and test scores. So too was he heralded as a 'master' fencer, his long, rangy frame and quick, tight footwork a work of art when meshed together. He has a temper blacker than space, however, and indulges his whims -- women -- far too often to be judged as 'reliable' in any matter outside of battle. He is terrifyingly charming when his temper is under control, and was once told by his Aunt that he could sell a "sand to a Tatooinian."
He trained rigorously for several years during his early twenties with the small battalion of Stormtroopers that police his ships, but he has little experience otherwise with ground engagements, despite his proficiency with hand-to-hand combat and handheld weapons. He is beyond an Ace pilot, and constantly vexes his uncle by sneaking among the star fighters and engaging in dangerous dog fights.
He is force-sensitive, and knows of this sensitivity. He uses the Force's insights in battle instinctively, and draws on its energies to stave off fatigue, something he discovered by sheer necessity; other than that, however, he knows next to nothing of the Force save that it grants its wielders great power. He does know of the various Force 'cults' around the galaxy, has studied them as well as he could incase he should ever stand against their Navies.
His successes have given birth to an extreme arrogance, and while he accepts people of any and all races, he abhors any perceived weakness, and is quick to condemn those he considers lesser than himself. Like most Chiss, he can be aloof, cold, and very calculating, sometimes seeing people as mere problems as opposed to living, breathing beings. Never the men who serve him, however -- to him, they are his family, and he theirs. For that, they love him, but they respect him for his courage, his work-ethic, and his party-ethic. He works hard so that he can equally play hard; his celebratory parties aboard the Black Prince are legendary.

The Black Prince, Varg'are'csapla
Birth to Academy Graduation:
- Garec was born on Klasse Ephemora; he was one of the last sons of the once ruling Csapla family. He attended the standard Military Academy and graduated several years early at age 12, continuing onward to advanced Military Training against his father's wishes -- he, like all Csapla's before him, had been head of agriculture and distribution, as was the duty of the first ruling family. He surpassed all who came before him, finishing the advanced training in a scant two years. Tempers and tensions reached a head when the elder Csapla sided with Di'ana'nuruodo to join the Atrisian Empire. Ashamed of the Ascendancy, the young Garec abandoned his duties and responsibilities to tour the stars; he, his aunt Marai, and her husband Malek assembled a crew and took their Nuruodo Class Starship to explore the Unknown Regions and find glory like their ancestors before them.
Honorable Pirates:
- Garec learned how to lead watching the work of his Aunt and Uncle. They became pirate kings and queens, and conquered rival Armadas, encountered Force-adepts, freed slaves, and enslaved freemen. They seized entire planets of droids. They became both hero's and villains. and with every victory their influence and power grew. It was during these years that Marai and Malek met and defeated Catt, who grew to adore the irascible, fiery Garec. It was also during this time that Garec met and bedded Dax, earning his facial scars in the process.
Expanding the Fleet:
- Malek fell ill with a dangerous virus, and Marai couldn't find the right mindset to lead the fleet. The responsibility fell on Garec's shoulders. He rose to the occasion and conquered every challenge against him, from strange fleets of shieldless starfighters to the great behemoths of the former Empire in the hands of different radical offshoots of the fallen galactic entity. Garec came into the possession of a number of such former Imperial Vessels drifting in an asteroid field in the *redacted Sector. He claimed the planet *redacted in a ruthless display of merciless tactics and unrelenting yet deceptive offense. With his uncle and aunt recovered, he claimed the planet as their own and set their droid armies to repair the massive destroyers.
The Chiss Liberation:
- Captaining a fully referbished Isard I Class Star Destroyer, and with a full fleet of Destroyers, Corvettes, Carriers and the like, Garec returned to Klasse Ephemora to take his rightful place as ruler of the Ascendancy... but Garec saw, in a series of nightmarish dreamlike premonitions, that if he became ruler, he would lead his people into ruin. He wasn't yet refined enough to wield such power. In his attempt, he learned of the Atrisian Empire's efforts to reclaim and repopulate Csilla, and began to realize that they weren't his enemies. After learning of the treaty between his people and the Atrisians, he realized the truth. He had been wrong.
Imperial Ties:
- Now, he serves Jun Nedo and Emperor Akio, but he is still an irascible young man with great ambition and a well of untapped power. The galaxy will learn his name... and they will tremble.
