[Private] The Fire that Heals

Valae's retirement from the Silver Order hadn't only been a personal blow to Jyoti, but also a professional one, as projects between were now left in limbo.

Fortunately, as a master healer had returned to the fold, at least one project could be unshelved.

She had arranged for a meeting with Master Elaris in her office during the morning. A large platter of tea steamed at one corner of the desk, while an ornate wooden case rested on the other. Reclining back her in her chair, she was quite relaxed, nursing her own cup of tea while she enjoyed some Seoulian Drama on her desk's holodisplay.

As usual, the door was open, so Master Elaris was free to pass inside without knocking.

Coryth's shoulders rose and fell with a heavy sigh as she headed towards Jyoti's office. The tiny redhead still was still slightly attached to her nomadic and sometimes hermit-like ways. She'd spent years just wandering the galaxy-hopping from planet to planet helping those she could, never staying in one place too long. She had always been on the move, and nearly always on her own. Coming back to 'normal' civilization as it were was still a bit strange and just a wee bit anxiety-inducing for Coryth.

Though those thoughts and nerves she set aside with another deep breath in, and out. Finding Jyoti's door open she quietly walked in, barefoot as always, wearing the simplest of clothing, a form-fitting t-shirt, and jeans. Simple, simple was the way she tended to keep things. Or at least did her best to do so.

With a slight hesitation as she entered, the redhead spoke up, "Master Nooran?" Her voice gentle, sweet, kind. What one would expect from a physician with a good bedside manner. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything, but I heard you wished to speak with me." Some timidness could be felt from the empath, and a slight discomfort. Though that was just nerves from a new situation, and meeting someone she knew relatively little about, aside from meeting the Jedi Master at the Harvest Festival.

Elaris arrived, dressed quite casually in simple streetwear. By contrast, Jyoti was dressed in silvery white robes, freshly pressed herself. Jyoti smiled, Elaris reminding her of Valae when they had first met in Hutt Space, the then Jedi Knight donning a similar garb.

"Master Elaris, welcome! You're not interrupting anything, I've been expecting you."

She set down her tea and motioned for the redhead to take one of the empty chairs before her desk.

"I made some tea. Please, help yourself. Yes, there was something I hoped you could help me with. You may have heard of the Healing Crystals of Fire? They were said to be quite potent, even able to bring individuals back from the brink of death."

Leaning forward, she slid the wooden case to the center of the desk, then removed the lid. Inside were several large hunks of crystals set on a bed of black velvet. They closely resembled topaz or amber, but if one inspected them closely, a faint aura radiated from each of them.

"Some of our Shadows acquired these on Coruscant - a lot of Jedi artifacts circulate on the black market there - after some research, our resident scholars think they're the real deal, but they've clearly been drained of their power. I was hoping that we could rekindle their power and put them to good use, but I've never quite had the knack for the healing arts like my predecessor."

She sat back in her seat, the crystals open for Elaris to inspect if she pleased. They ranged in sizes from golfball sized to those the size of a large grapefruit.

"This is where I was hoping you could step in and help, to ensure we did the channeling right."
