Progress is impossible without change

Briga landed The Spectre on Yavin 4 in a shadowport close to the Temple of Exar Kun. She found herself here after delivering a Sith scroll to a Nelvaanian Sith Lord named Darth Plinror on Thracior. The visit was short – Plinror was a gruff and stern creature of no nonsense – but before she left his dwelling, she asked him:

“Are you taking on any apprentices, My Lord?”

The Caprine had been recently rejected as weak and flawed by her former Master, and the acute pain of failing him still stung her innards. But no matter how much she floundered, she needed to continue on her path of dark sorcery. Her ultimate goal of returning to Iktotch as the goddess Ax’no depended on her ability to rule through fire and blood.

“I already have an apprentice and cannot take another.”

She turned to go, but then Darth Plinror added, “However, Safiriel Bane may be able to help you. She can be found on Yavin 4.”

For the trip, the Priestess of Iktotch wore a long dark gown, but about twenty minutes into the walk, she realized the choice of attire was ill-suited to the jungle island on which she stood. Once she reached the obsidian structure, sweat pooled on Briga’s brow, and her limbs were sticky and almost swollen with the oppressive heat - she more acclimated to the windy, dry cliffs of home planet versus the muggy, swampy terrain. But at least the long sleeves and hem made sure she did not get bitten by the numerous insects on the humid world.

She began walking slowly on the stepping stones leading up to the temple, her head bowed so she would not lose her footing and fall into the lake.

Safiriel knelt atop the summit of one of the temple. She was deep in meditation, her awareness spread out, covering a large around around her. For anything that moved, hot or cold she felt it's actions. Normally such a feat was beyond her capabilities but, her powers amplified by her attunement to the temple.

So too did she sense the Caprine's approach to her temple.

Patiently she waited atop the temple for her to approach, and state why she had approached the Blade's Shadow.

Before her on the ground lay a saber, deconstructed, the various pieces of it laying neatly arranged in a semi circle
