SPECIAL FEATURES
- Skin texture/look replication system (nanites)
- Easy-Fit system
STRENGTHS
- Second skin: The PD-01 is quite literally a second skin. It's meant to blend perfectly with the wearer's skin, perfectly matching both the tone and texture. It's paper thin and is near impossible to detect by sensors or distinguish from real skin.
- Perfect Disguise: The skin replication technology is meant to work in tandem with the PD-00 armor set. The replication technology is able to mimic one’s skin down to its texture, and with a suit covering the rest of the body it’s possible to completely disguise the wearer given a few moments for the system to adjust. Pre-loading sets of skin beforehand and having them connected to an operative’s smart device allows rapid switches in disguise. Depending on the linked devices, it’s possible to replicate the face of someone the user has only just seen.
- Easy Fit: A simple nanotech system allows the mask to be put on easily and quickly, molding to the wearer’s features in an instant.
WEAKNESSES
- Paper Thin: Unlike the body-covering counterpart, adding any amount of meaningful defensive measures to the headpiece of the Second Skin was deemed likely to tip off an enemy as it was slightly too thick. While the Two-Face is strong enough to avoid tears or other small damage, it offers virtually no protection against blows to the head.
- Deactivation: Ion and EMP attacks can easily deactivate the mask and reveal the user for what they truly are, as well as cyberattacks against the attached smart device.
- Discrepancies: Teeth, eyes, hair, and neck are not able to be changed by the Two-Face -- it’s incumbent on the operative to handle these problems. Additionally, the disguise system is unable to change major facial features such as the nose and general shape of the face.
- Smart Device Dependent: It is recommended to have a connected device that is constantly at hand to manage the changes in disguise.
- Pre-load: Making a new face on the fly is generally a non-option. Having multiple backups is recommended, but without them the user can often be exposed.
DESCRIPTION
The companion piece to the PD-00 “Second Skin” light armor, Ministry operatives are now fully capable of disguising themselves entirely on the fly. While more complex disguises are left to the agents’ own abilities, the Two-Face allows an easy and near instantaneous change, giving an easy out to disappear in a crowd or just about anyplace.
(Wow, Scarlett Johansson going two for two in my subs... weird, huh?)
