DESCRIPTION​

With a color scheme and design aesthetic reminiscent of the trooper armor worn by the Military of the Old Republic, the standard-issue armor of The Halcyon Corporation is lightweight, designed to provide the greatest range of movement and mobility to an individual. The design is focused on providing the highest protection when it comes to dealing with hazards such as shrapnel and debris, or thrown objects targeting an individual's head. This can be seen in the design of the helmet, which focuses on reflecting objects down and away from the sides of the head, face, and neck - a retractable face visor is also included to provide additional protection to the face when needed. However, this lightweight design and focus on environmental hazards has drawn attention away from other areas, making it more vulnerable to damage from lightsabers as well as being incapable of being sealed from biological and chemical hazards. Its design is also limited in its coverage, as the focus is placed more on protecting vital areas such as the torso and head whilst leaving other areas, such as the extremities, more vulnerable and unarmored. Though it is capable of withstanding and mitigating the effects of sonic-based weaponry, it offers minimal protection when it comes to radiation exposure or blunt force weaponry - another downside of its lightweight construction and focuses on utility and mobility over specialization. A reinforced Gammaplast chest piece is the central focus of the armor, accompanied by a helmet, gauntlets, and greaves; with materials chosen to provide the highest survivability when struck by blaster bolts or kinetic rounds. Additional features of the armor include a manual suit sealing kit - to be used for basic maintenance of the armor - as well as IFF Circuitry and Utility Belt with additional supplies and tools for use in the field. The armor, with its red and gold color scheme, is slowly becoming synonymous with the Security Forces of the Halcyon Corporation and is being seen more frequently throughout the Halcyon System, specifically on those planets which The Halcyon Corporation maintains a presence. ​
