Prophecy is a Dangerous Game

There had been more than a few that had appeared to Cedric in his dreams. As he wandered the cosmic endlessness that was the empyrean, he had come across many names and faces that the Force wished him to know. They would be the tools to bring about the great purpose that Cedric had been created to achieve. They would be the galaxy's greatest protectors: warriors without equals, defenders of the weak, arbitrators of the wicked. They were to be his hands, the Jedi that he would impart with all of his knowledge, and with that knowledge came an even more valuable commodity: trust.

This one was such a creature. A human boy, for all intents and purposes, but one marked by destiny just as his yet unknown peers were. He, like the others, was born to serve a great purpose. Cedric would be the catalyst that steered him toward the ultimatum.

Cyan light coalesced into tendrils of wispy blue smoke. The tendrils congealed and twisted in on themselves, knitting slowly into the recognizable form of a human man. The man was translucent, his body bathed in an eerie blue glow. He was clad in battle armor, his face hidden by the mask and heavy hood he wore.

"Hello Anders," the figure's voice echoed with an ethereal quality.

Anders collapsed onto his bunk and turned toward the viewport. A fathomless expanse of blackness lay before him, peppered with celestial lights lightyears away. The inky darkness was soothing, as he lay nestled in the recess of a cargo freighter, and it wasn't long before Anders sunk into that blackness he looked out to.

His eyes snapped open - quivering as half his body was submerged in a turbid pool of water. Rising to soaked pillars, he assessed his surroundings. It was a pit apparently, cramped and sultry, a white light dappling the damp surface.

Where the hell am I...

Luckily it was a shallow ditch, as he latched onto the dull thorns that crowned the portal. Heaving himself out, he crawled over a dry, rocky surface, diametrically the opposite of the trench he woke up in.

Anders found himself in a a grassland of sorts, unnaturally green with sparse trees, and a gradient magenta sky. He winced, dazed and confused. This was certainly the most vivid dream he'd ever had...

Emanating from his peripheral - a blue light expanded from nothingness. An azure energy made asunder in separate ringlets, gyrating unto itself before manifesting into a human form. Though far from any ordinary human. The human, a male, to be sure - adorned in scarred battle armor, a menacing mask, and a hood shrouding the blue spirit.

"Um..." He struggled to find the words, startled by the spirit's appearance. "Who are you? And why am I here?"
