[Proposal] Merge and Strengthen

So I've been dying to finally reactivate Darth Arcis as one of my main characters and helping this faction get started up will be the best possible way to help me regain interest in Arcis and put forth some effort into getting a goal for him. And so, I've had a Minor faction in the works for months (because of my long LOA) and haven't really done much with the Arcian Star Kingdom.

And with that, I'd like to propose a merger with the Arcian Star Kingdom and the Council of Sorcery. Though it's a tiny faction that only reigns over a planet full of Sith Purebloods, they're all avid worshipers of Sorcerers and would fit in perfectly. There's a small military in use as well, and I've even got a cloaked star destroyer that can be put to use in helping the Council.

My only requests for this to happen:
  • IC Thread: An IC thread that solidifies the merging of the Star Kingdom and Council, this proves that all IC resources were easily passed over without qualm and nobody can call BS on us if they complain about things.
  • IC Position: For storyline and character purposes, I'd like to keep Arcis as King of Tantorus, the home of the Sith.
That's it. Just fulfill those minor requests once I get back from my week of leave and the Star Kingdom's assets shall be yours. Don't forget that Arcis owns a company as well.

I've got high expectations for this faction and will actually devote time into making things happen.

Thanks for reading,
Arcis

I support this proposal. It gives us some more depth and we can perfectly use it for story purposes.

So... I would say that Arcian Star Kingdom would become a sub-group of CoS.

But before everything, I would like to hear everybody else's opinion about it.

Well, we already have the MGO, but that's more of a company. We have the EDO, which is a genuine subfaction. I mean, I guess it couldn't hurt to have another one. Maybe it would be the Sith Alchemy/Sith Magic department? Otherwise, a straight merge is fine.

I'm considering doing the same thing for the WIP faction I never really got to finish as well. Maybe bring Crystalsong stuff, vampirism and undeath to us as well! And lore and whatnot. Up2u.

MGO will be taking a new way. It is a company and it works as a company, but behind that, there are people who study the poweful Magicks. They could be considered the real magi of our faction as they use the most magical powers (SIth Magic, definitely).

And there is not only EDO, but also the Purifier League and MGO which are our main forces.

(I'm so excited about them).

Arcian Star Kingdom, just like this undead vampirism faction, will not be our main forces like EDO, MGO, and Purifier League, but they will be sub-factions of ours.

And let's not forget we are a minor faction. :p

Go big or go home. LET'S MAJOR IT UP! After we get some new members.
In the beginning of CoS, we decided we will most likely never go Major as being Major brings too much drama and unwanted political problems. You could write a proposal about it, if you want to, though. Maybe our opinion is/will be changed. :)

But it's fun ruining people's RP! On a more serious note, I believe you can actually request only one planet when you go major. So, through that we can operate as a Major faction, except without all the stuff a normal Major has to go through. Please correct if I'm wrong about the planet thing.

Major factions are fun, but so should be Minors. A good minor faction is active and interesting, does their own stuff. Going on the map may be a great achiement, but also a responsibility. Realistically thinking, I am afraid if we had to do check-ins every month, we would fail at some point due to inactivity. And if we only had one planet, we would be gone from the map with only a single fail.

So... ICly, out faction is supposed to be secret. Only Purifier League and Mage Guild Operations company are known by other people. The whole faction is a secret council. If we went Major, it would be all gone. We would be a political power known to the rest of the galaxy.

That's why we wouldn't quite work out as Major. ;)

And I believe we can one day go Major, but in the mean time, we should focus on gaining members and garnering interest and activity. Eventually, secrecy won't be so important when we have the numbers and agendas to make this a really big thing.

A special request can be having but one/two planets. These three planets which are mentioned in the rules can be changed. For example, One SIth got six (?) planets whe they went Major, Galactic Republic started out as a big blob. Most other factions, three/four planets. Getting one planet would be technically possible, but not worth the work Tefka and we would have to do.

True. But it is not this day yet. At the moment, we are on the edge of collapsing and the advertisement along with the three main forces are meant to maybe make us more active.

EDIT: And let's not forget the fact, that Tef has to like the faction for it to become Major. I am already a bit aware of what he considers suitable and what not. And I think he wouldn't see us working out like we are at the moment. Our concept is foggy, our goals indefinite. We must get some real things done. And so we will have to seek for adventure.

Ah, yes! One more thing, thank you for bringing it up, [member="sabrina"]!

Technically, a character can be a member of many Major Factions, just as much as they want to. But at monthly check-ins, a member could only represent one major faction. Since [nearly] all members of our faction are also members of a Major faction, they would most likely choose representing the other Major Faction they are a member of. That's why we would most likely fail check-ins.

It should be seven. I think at the moment, we barely have seven active members, though. So people, we need to start advertising.

About the Arcian Star Kingdom: we will merge, as our active members have spoken. We will have the IC thread where you merge with us.
