Proposed First Order Faction Event: Law & Order SSIUftAoTCaO

Or: Special Space Investigation Unit for the Apprehension of Terrorists, Cells, and Organizations... Or Operation Swift Taco? I don't know, I think I need to work on my acronyms.

Welcome to the Event that is being planned surrounding the investigation into the homicide of the now deceased Supreme Commander [member="Aram Kalast"]. This will be a faction event that I'm going to run. I hope for participation from numerous First Order elements, not just Security Bureau agents. I felt that this was too good of an opportunity to pass up. So it would be awesome if as a faction, we could get together and write some cool stories without having the necessity of a dominion (though our dominion proceedings are still top priority).

That is not to say that there won't be things gained from taking part. I will be asking our bling masters for some sweet swag and there will be prizes in the way of subbed factory items for various commendations earned along the way. Have your attention? Good, let's get started...

OOC information:

These facts are important so I felt I that I would get them out of the way.
  • First and foremost, remember that the two main characters involved in this are the aforementioned Aram Kalast and [member="Kira Vaal"] (the as of yet unknown prime suspect in the investigation), both of whom are written by the same author. Though neither of them may be featured prominently in the writing of this scenario, please be respectful of the writer and their wishes for their characters. If any level of disrespect is shown, you will be removed from the event. You will not get a second chance or a warning. Other factions may be involved at a later point as well. The same courtesy applies. We will be conducting most of this independently from Aram, as the story, for our purposes, will be told on the First Order side of things. Their involvement is currently to be determined.
  • This will be a gmed event, meaning that some of us will have certain details planned out in advance and will help in guiding the story towards a completion. Exactly who those gms are will be updated at a later time. This does not mean everything is set in stone. The actions of the characters involved will sculpt a good portion of this.

Structure
The investigation will take place in several phases split into as many groups as necessary. The first phase requires two elements. Each element of the first phase will have a separate thread, and each gmed by at least one person. The elements are as follows:

Phase 1: Investigation

Element A: a week after the funeral, the debris field of the Prevail serves as the true final resting place of the Supreme Commander, leaving no doubt as to his untimely demise. Initial scans of the system show no sign of jettisoned escape pods. All that remains is the detritus of a broken, Imperial capital ship. Conduct a further analysis of the region and discover what clues may remain in the wreckage. Be warned, you may not be the only ones with an interest in all that was left behind.

Priority: Starfighter Corps pilots will take shuttles through the debris field. Each shuttle requires a pilot and co-pilot due to the difficulty of navigation. Intelligence agents will serve aboard the ship as scanning crew and debris analysts. One naval carrier within the system will serve as a mobile headquarters along with additional cruisers serving as escort should any unexpected resistance appear. Additional crew aboard the shuttles may include marines certified for extra-vehicular activity in outer space.

Element B: due to the unknown nature of the incident, every step the Prevail took must be retraced. Although the vessel's flight log was registered and confirmed at numerous spaceports prior to its destruction, none of them reported anomalies. Due to the nature of the wreckage, analysts have determined that no space battle took place. Thus, someone must have gotten aboard at some point during the ship's journey. Discover where, and find any remaining connections before the trail runs cold.

Priority: Field operatives are to go undercover to discover any suspicious denizens spread through the ports of First Order space. They will be assisted by Knights of Ren on direct orders from the Supreme Leader, using their mystical senses to sniff out any who would intentionally target the Supreme Commander, and who would threaten to question the sincerity of the Order the faction has established. The Ren will have squads of infantrymen and mounted troops at their disposal if pockets of resistance are found and force is required. Government officials will be in charge of stoking the flames of the First Order's media. Our loyal subjects will be encouraged to assist these investigations and they should know that the threat only lies with those who would seek to disrupt our peace.

Phase 2: the Search Commences

So there's the preliminary outline. Of course, folks aren't required to participate. This is just a bit of fun storytelling. It'll help develop the First Order's teamwork ability and truly demonstrate our concrete system of operation. If I missed any group in the execution of this, let me know. I'm sure there will be a place for you. I currently foresee 3 phases, but I need to work some things out before I know for sure. (Much thanks to [member="Rolf Amsel"] for proofreading, suggestions, and ego-inflating.)

All that said, what are the thoughts of everyone else?
