Proposed timeline and number of threads

Proposed timeline. This should also help us sort out how complex this will be and potentially take corrective action:

Map update which reveals the Cult of Sekot: February 19, 2017

Holonet news articles disseminated between: February 20th - March 4th, 2017.

Faction advertisement posted on: March 4th, 2017 (this could also be posted instead on February 26 to give people time to create characters)

First invasion: March 5th, 2017 - March 12, 2017 (Judgment rendered immediately by any of the participating judges)

Second Invasion: March 12th, 2017 - March 19th, 2017 (Judgment rendered immediately by any of the participating judges)

March 19th, 2017: Holonet news article released about the moon of a planet being sent into said planet (could be a relatively important planet but will be repairable)

Third Invasion: March 19th, 2017 - March 26th, 2017 (Judgment rendered immediately by any of the participating judges)

Counter invasion of Zonoma Sekot: March 26th, 2017 - April 1st, 2017 (shortened by one day just to make sure it's down within the month).

This is the timeline for the barebone events within the invasion. It has been suggested that other side threats might be worth creating for those who don't participate in invasions. Additionally, on the side of the invasions, I'm thinking that it should be by and large PvP as fleeting and npc's tend to muck things up. I know there will be some belly aching with that but I'm not sure it's worth parsing out separate threads for it (this will be complex enough as is).

During each one of the judgments for invasions, it would be nice to have some sort of revelation with the cult (keep people interested). For instance, by the Second Invasion, we could have the revelation that the true catalyst for this has been the terentatek (corrupting Sekot with the malice stemming from the netherworld), etc etc. Then the third invasion could reveal that the Moon is currently being enslaved to empower the war effort with rock golems. (these could be reversed, moon revelation first and then the Terentatek)

But before we get into that, I'd like to get the general timeline down so we can have a goal for deliverables (art stuff, pre developed news articles, template and tech crafting).

Personally I would leave the Terentatek reveal to the last.

At this point though I'm wondering if that "villain reveal" is going to be worth its salt. I forget what the plan was for that. Are these sentient Terentatek? What again was the reasoning we decided on behind it? Did we ever nail that down?

Well the main hurdle is that Sekot, the sentient presence of Zonoma, was inherently peaceful. So we need an agent of corruption that would not only will it to move aggressively, but to invade planets altogether. At first, the intent was for that to be through the Terentatek. Not only were they experimented on by the Yuuzhan Vong, seeking refuge from the Gulag Plague, but the Netherworld event had unforeseen consequences as well. Not only did they gain sentience, but they gained the power to manipulate Sekot itself. Piece by piece, as it were.

This trickle down affect, emboldened by the negative impression of loss provided by the sentient moon (having lost it's own planet), allowed for the mobilization of the strike against those that were different from the Cult. While it could be argued that Sekot wouldn't turn towards war in such a fashion, it's existed for several hundred years in relative isolation and the corrupting echo chamber of the loss and malice by the changed Terentatek provided momentum for this descent into relative madness.

So they, in my mind, were sort of crucial as the villains for this concept. We could include the Shadow Broker as well but in actuality, I'm not convinced we need him/her.
