Description: A redesign of the old and historic Defender Class Light Corvette that Rendili built long ago, the Protector Class follows thousands of years later in this modern era to provide the Jedi with a new personal transport that can meet the needs of a peacekeeper and diplomat, as well as provide them with a level of safety in dangerous regions. Equipped with powerful Rendili ion engines and fitted with an advanced shield generator, the Protector class is fully capable of withstanding hostile attack while escaping such situations.
Not that it only has the option to run. Sporting two dual turbolaser cannons and a pair of concussion missile launchers allows the craft to still pose a threat to enemy vessels, and any snub fighters wishing to do the ship harm should also be wary of counter attack from the two dual heavy laser cannons tucked within their pods on either side of the ship's central hull. A skilled jedi pilot at the controls has much to work with when piloting the Protector class which seeks to outshine its predecessor.
Nonetheless the vessel isn't primarily meant for combat, rather it is meant as the personal ship for a Jedi in their tasks to bring peace to the Galaxy. As such it is fitted with enough space in its compartments to stay active for 2 months without resupply, a meditation room exclusively for the Jedi to rest and refine their abilities, a diplomatic suite for meeting with dignitaries, ambassadors, and heads of state, and is finished off with a small medbay for treating the injuries of oneself or allies. Enough space is kept aboard the Protector class so Jedi teams can operate together on a single vessel, but the controls were kept simple enough and rigged together so that even a single pilot could be sufficient, though it hampers combat abilities during such situations.
