The Protectorate Arms Corporation established itself in the last few hundred years - at the time it was a mercenary outfit that was active during the time between the Gulag Plague - and reorganized itself into a corporation sometime before or after 735 ABY. Their first act was to sweep into the world of Sinkora IV - which at the time had no standing military or armed individuals that would have otherwise been capable of repulsing the attack - and claimed the world as their own. Working with the local aristocracy and ensuring that classes wealth and status, the Protectorate Arms Corporation claimed the world and established the populace that were not wealthy as wageslaves - individuals tied to and forever in debt to the Corporation.
Their primary focus is on the production of arms, munitions and armor - and the corporation acts as the primary and only governing body on Sinkora IV - meaning that the Corporations word is in fact law on that planet. They keep their wageslaves in a form of eternal debt, paying them with corporate scripts that only the Protectorate Arms Corporation accepts - with only those in the middle and upper management being paid in actual credits. This ensures that their employees are incapable of leaving the world - unlike the more wealthy individuals on Sinkora IV.

The current owner of the Protectorate Arms Corporation has kept their identity hidden - with their acquisition of the company happening due in part to the events surrounding the Netherworld Event that saw much of the middle and upper management of the Corporation go missing. Sweeping changes ensured that the management structure of the corporation was quickly filled to ensure continued operation of the company in the short term while the long term effects of the Netherworld Event remain unknown at this time. This new owner of the Corporation has also gone out of their way to delegate much of the operation of the corporation to these new managers and keeps - more or less - a hands free approach in mind, only interfering when its required.
