The Protera Safety Jacket and Vest was created to serve as a basic protective garment. It is well suited for providing extra protection for private citizens, security details, law enforcement, rescue teams/civilian aid. Daehan Industries used very thin layers of Protera to comprise the protective vest, and as a lining inside the jacket. The outer shell of both pieces is standard armorweave.There is a standard helmet provided with this garment, and an armorweave neck scarf. The jacket and vest are light and made to reduce bulk, making it easy to wear layers underneath. Daehaen Industries designed this garment with a utilitarian focus, there are numerous pockets and belt loops to allow for additional items to be worn.
The jacket and vest protects against ballistics quite well, but the wearer will still absorb the energy. While the Protera textile is inherently strong against many weapons, the process of creating paper-thin layers weakens the product. This is the reason behind providing multiple layers inside the vest and jacket.Hits from blasters, ballistics, and knives, will damage the outer layers and weaken the product, making it possible for subsequent attacks to penetrate.
This product is ideal for protecting against unexpected attacks, but it is not meant to sustain heavy damage.
